this is a great mid range android phone u can get,
and somemore the design is really naisss,
i bought it for my wife ady, no complaint so far
altho ive ady flash it with the leaked GB frm uk

with that budget, better off u buy Galaxy S or Galaxy S Plus (avoid SL),
both still within ur budget and better performance..

SL is a replacement for Original SGS,
but with a downgrade specs, among others the screen la (frm SAmoled to SLCD),
and i dont why Samsung did this, they release SGS Plus to replace the SL model,
and this time they maintain the SAmoled screen and they clocked the cpu at 1.4Ghz,
so its an upgrade frm the Ori SGS...

yeap, flashed to KPE,
abt the SOD if remember even b4 i flash to GB,
it only happened once, usually id only get wifi error when using stock fm

now with GB up (abt a month ady i think since i flashed),
ive never encounter any problem whatsoever
still running smoothly since,
but i recall our fellow forumer here also got SOD with GB KPE,
i think im just lucky also

lol, i never know it got this feature,
btw what is it for?

try search 3g watch dog or data counter widget in the market..
