if Malaysian football, is there any match bigger than the 2-1 victory over Korea to qualify for the Olympics in 80?
Yes, that's the match where heroes like James Wong, Hassan Sani were idolized in Maxis' WC ad last year.. i had the privilege to watch the whole match...in black and white on tv... in those days where football boots were black and white, dominated by either Adidas or Puma, ..the likes of Jamal Nasir, Santokh Singh running .....wow... btw how did u guys watch ch league 99?
i dont remember it's available on local tv that time only megatv (like astro one) got espn.. i curi2 tgk that time (primary school that time, kenot sleep late hehe) and yes, it was awesome. the munich players almost celebrate it. huggin each other. shoulder to shoulder. breathtaking oh yes, argentina vs england WC98! 20 minutes = 4 goals. (correct me if i'm wrong), malaysia official (linesman), beckham sent off, << hate diego simeone at this time. |

a must win game. to make things even worse, we are facing against the reigning champions, thailand. they took the lead in the 53th minute and it looks likely that we are going for an early exit again. in the 80th minute, the leftback, nasriq baharom became the unlikely scorer and provide a lifeline for us. deep in the stoppage time, fakri saarani netted the winning goal that we were craving for and rewrite the history

QUOTE(SGSuser @ Apr 17 2011, 04:34 PM) wrong match. that match which ended Arsenal 49 games run, United won 2-0 @OT. RVN scored from penalty spot (Rooney dived (?) on Campbell tackle), and injury time 2nd goal from Rooney.both memorable matches for me.. basically almost all United-Arsenal matches are memorable for me.. esp SF FA Cup 99. QUOTE(Firdaus_Fenriz @ Apr 18 2011, 09:45 PM) yeah.. though i prefer Korean to win it (as Asian), the referees, linesmen are really terrible.. esp Korea-Spain, i never see all dodgy /key decisions going to one side.. QUOTE(nanamiwashio @ Apr 18 2011, 05:05 PM) for other leagues, need to go back home and think foreign football ada jugak... my first football match ever is Juventus 1-3 Dortmund - Champions League Final 1997. ... practically bringging me into obsessive world of football..but as arresandro yang berhati nasionalis.. terus bagi idea kat aku abt local football 3-0 to indonesia at SNBJ was one of the best final ever for me (in local football qualities ofcourse + i'm part of the 90k.) *i still save the match at my HDisk, if i boring i will play back the game starting from the laser incident. (i think around 2k alone DIDNT have the chance to watch the game as the stadium was FULL PACK, they can only stand near pagar watching us shouting only. 1-2 to indonesia at bung karno. watched this at Nike Party. ofcourse urban ppl dont watch local football match but the way we(as i'm referring to the so called 'urban' ppl) celebrated the AFF win that time was f*cking memorable. starting from Khairul Fahmi saved the penalty - safee goal... OMMGGG!!just unbelievable. later go home watch all youtube abt the match till 2am. as for final sea games, shyte that day i got exam paper at 8pm.lucky not serious paper..i tgk sikit2 end up reach the exam hall 10 minutes late hehehe. local league : -Sabah vs KL final FA, (my dad drove way back from Malacca to stadium merdeka for this match altho we're not fan for either team)- me still in kindergarten this time -Sabah vs MBPJ - Final PM - sanbagamaran sent off really change the game -Sabah vs Selangor -Final PM @ stadium shah alam -ANY Selangor vs Kelantan for sure hehehehehe also Juventus 3-1 Real Madrid for 2003 Champions League semi final.. |

MyTeam vs Malaysia (under 20?) 2006. Man what a crowd, they are split 50 - 50.
Malaysia beat the overhyped MyTeam 2-1. I call it overhyped because that team is no longer exist right now. and also Piala Malaysia final 2002, Sabah lost to Selangor's Amri Yahyah Golden Goal. It has sentimental value to me. This post has been edited by Angel of Deth: Apr 19 2011, 05:36 PM |

Malaysia final against Indonesia...everyone, no matter from which club fans gathered together to support only one team..haha..nice memory..
the match just replaced my all time favourite football match: i watched this match with my friends (man utd fans) and im the only one who bersorak like crazy..sometimes, it is nice to be the only fan of a club that no one around you is supporting the club..makes you special |

Rajagopal could have easily been dumped from his job due to the failure of qualifying to the second round of Sea games... :feeuwwhh: |
