A question about USB soundcards. I saw creative's usb soundcard. And it's about RM1xx? Is it better than A42JA's sound quality or the same?

guys i got a problem with A43SV.
my power4gear not able to change mode, it keep stick with High Performance even though i change to Quiet Office or Battery Saving.
any idea how to fix this?

coz i seems like couldnt get the access to the fan.
only able to take out the cover for ram and hard disk.

You would need to totally disassemble the notebook to reach the fan..

will it void my warranty if i do that?

coz mine is running like 60 ~ 70 idle, when play games it will shoot up to 80~90

By right, the warranty is void.

Laptop seems to be doing badly with the new nvidia drivers and updates of windows. Plus, it seems to have a fan problem. Which probably leads to the bios thing.

I've heard that winflash is a dangerous way of flashing bios, and the last time I tried it, Windows flashed a BSOD stopping winflash from updating the bios.

EDIT: Also, my computer's CPU tends to range between 70-95 percent, when there's nothing on. Occaisionally I get the Driver Power State Failure BSOD.

I own an Asus A42Jv, and realize that the bottom corner where the fan is at becomes extremely hot even when I raise the laptop from the table (Laptop fan but fan not working) when I play games.
Anyone else experience this? Any way I can improve the temperature?

Also, I heard if you upgrade your laptop's HDD to.. some hybrid thing.. it will improve the overall performance?
Can it be done for this laptop?

so far i've found the cheapeast is Asus A43SJ-VX590. but it comes with nvidia gt 520m

i tried to stay away from a dedicated graphic card. previous personal experience

it said 5730 got hot issue then 6730 might got. 5650 they said will make the fan noise. maybe cos i'm 5650 user.

There is one asus salesperson he told me to go for GT540m

He used previous asus model with 5730m to play games Call of Duty. He can feel the heat start at the keyboard.

Then he play the same game on the asus model with GT540m. There are fan noise and can feel the heat coming out from heat sink. But the laptop will not feel as hot as the one with 5730m.

Conversely, there is a sifu say that in consensus most pro will say ati 6xxxm series is cooler than gt5xx series. In fact most sifu on forum say 6730m is better.

So how does 5650 perform? so far so good? Will it get too hot easily?

On a tight budget bro, and I'm just using it for gaming and normal laptop use.
I read 4GB is enough for normal gaming.

hai. just bought u46sv on saturday. it seems that some of my function key(eg voulume n wifi) doesnt work. but brightness function can function. is this related to software or hardware? can i fix it myself?
and everytime i restart the laptop, the icons appear on the desktop. but i have unchecked the show desktop icons. what's wrong ah?
