take 1 month for asus change d adapter....

so send to compuway, where i buy the laptop..they send it to asus...
i dont know who to blame, coz i think it's not compuway problem...

and i realize my adapter is a bit different from b4...

i wanna ask something. lately my asus a42jv is been giving problems. its been lagging for games which before it run very smoothly. its using gt335m. any solutions for this?

5 DVDs of recovery, And ALOT of bloatware. Asus is sure a Bloatware-loving company.

Im still collecting data for this laptop . (temp while game, idle etc etc)

I found 1 thing cacated which is e-driver.. before i run edriver, everything works good.. and no lags in game.
but when i run e-driver, the program recomend me to install ATK, and 2 item i cant remember.. not a bloatware for sure.. I thought it was update..
But after i ran the program, my system gone crazy lol.

Atk 0100 not found.
p4g can be run in asus only..
and few more errors show everytime i restart pc..

and i played mw2, happen to have a lot of lagspike. ( on gt540)..

so i restore back to the time where i dint install the e-driver.. everything went back normal >.>
anyone know what causes it? or its simply a bug from e-driver?

juz sharing my experience
yesterday, i'm having lag problem while playing games...
and i though it cause by my new adapter...
finally i figure that external HDD makes the game lag (frame skip, not low FPS)
even thou my games is installed in my local disk, and not in the external HDD..

n53sn is known to be problematic

try check @ asus website the latest bios and what is fix..
lately i hving same problems when playing games..and after updated my bios, the problem gone..

Take the latest one. Normally solves it. If it doesn't, the one before. Try until your problem is gone or your laptop is bricked (touch wood)

Download the latest one, obviously

usually the most top bios is the latest one.u can check the dates also..
or u can figure out by see the version number increasing from 2xx to 3xx..the bigger the number,the latest the bios is..

Turboboost only kick in when it is using less than maximum core, ie, only using one core for i5.

It has its limitations, heat and stuff.
If the program utilise multi core processing, it'll be faster than one core with higher clock.

Prominent? The buttons looked the same as those in previous Asus....
I really hate the protrusion at the back lol, what good does it do apart from reducing the lid opening angle? 
I think its starting to become a trend that the whole palm rest becomes colorized now, as shown in Sony Vaios, Lenovo Z470s, Dell Inspirons, and now this lol 

The protrusion follows Dell's styling. If I'm not mistaken, Dell Vostros were the 1st to have those, followed by the new Inspirons and then the XPS 
Seriously not nice lar.... makes me feel like the monitor will break apart if push too much? 

They tried to slim down the waist, but the fat transfered down to the buttock instead   

Anyway, anyone found a way to effectively cool down ASUS N43/53 ?
i tried several cooler and homemade.  but none of these works charmingly.

Referal temp - without cooler. [Cpu1: 69 | Cpu2 :75 | Vga: 56]

test 1 - I read that n53 air intake is at the keyboard? i tried placing 2 fans over the keyboard. [67 | 74 | 54]
test 2 - by putting big fan below laptop. [67 | 74 | 54]
test 3 - Using my custom homemade cooler. [66 | 73 | 53]

Tested using Prime95. Maximum load. 5 mins. no aircond. small room. on AC power.

Funny thing I went through today

The key retainer/clip for my "Fn" key was snapped at one side, as a result the key was continuously coming out. When I brought it to the shop, they said they don't have the replacement part and they have to get it from ASUS. After chatting for a while, I exchanged that one for a new laptop

Another fresh A53SV for me to play with xD

Nah, it was coming off the keyboard.

But it got so hot till you can't hold it for long. this doesn't happen to the other notebook power adapters i've used. it's so hot that i can't even put it into the bag immediately. have to let it cool off for awhile.
