Are you using any app to make the battery last that long? How to do it?
Sorry, I just bought Asus A43SJ, but don't know how to make the battery last long

er, software.. asus p4g which is bundled. thats all. and try to reduce ram/cpu usage manually(disabling things u dont need to run)..
ps : idk, some microsoft service is power saving feature. but dunno which 1.. since i try disabled all the unused microsoft services to save battery, but end up 40mins less compared to windows running all services.. lol. so i just disabled a few.

lolx.... erm.. bios. im afraid to touch... though if i rmb correctly.... just dload windows bios flash utility frm asus website rite? then just flash frm windows. correct?
shoudl be the installer frm asus website... tat y previously i asking... but bios scares me... scare kaput
a series(except 15 incher) dun hav nvidia optimus tech... it cant swith to the low power integrated intel graphics... so expect it to nt last long on battery... BUT.... if i rmb correctly... ur model gt bigger battery capacity.... 2nd oli to the U series... should be able to last u 4hours+- ... haha amazing since it runs on power hungry nvidia grapphics..

I dont reccomend for u to use the window bios utility.. flashing bios within windows is risky and not stable..
u shud install the bios thru Bios setup since asus gladly bundled us with easy flash utility in the bios.. flashing took less than 1 min for me

Update : update ur n43sl bios now to latest bios. Now my laptop can last 8 HOURS per charge on browsing + music.Yes i repeat, EIGHT HOURS

Bug : loud boot sound which cant be turned off. (cudnt find the option yet)
have fun

Manage to turn off bios sound by using Asus utility - fancystart.. i create a 0.01sec silent wav file. and assigned it as the boot sound. so now my boot is back silent. all good

did i say? the 8 hours is totally awesome LOL.
Asus greatly improve the speedstep/c1e (idk) mechanism in the processor.. i check at cpu-z and found my laptop only used 0.7xxV with 7xx mhz at multiplier x8.0
