Finally, i found the malaysian connection in EVE. Been trawling the net to get some info on any malaysian eve players.

Anyways, hello everyone !!!! Zahn Deteis (eve nick)here. im a malaysian working in australia since sept 05. found out about eve late mar 06 and MAN - THE game that i have been waiting for.

always wanted a game that could combine the elements of star wars rebellion, freespace 2 and star trek and of course with a good lore behind it. And to me eve fits the bill by tonnes.

Read the topic thread from page 1 - and woohoo when im online after work today will definitely add Kopitiam to my fav channels

i agree about the joining of a corp suggestion - because my eveperience shot up positive side when i joined this OZ corp. mining ops with 12 ppl in a belt is definitely a must for any noob miner.

so far i have concentrated my skills towards being an uber miner. this is simply because it gives the biggest buck for the time spent in eve. being able to only play a max of 2 hrs on a weekday forced me to do that (family, work and all).

maybe when i can fly my covetor and can build my own ferox then hey ill meet up with some of u in 0.0 space - hehe provided i have security clearance that is.

anyways, my corp mates (and eve online) recommended this software EVEMON. http://evemon.evercrest.com - software is superb for managing and planning your toon skills.

me no like ore stealers .......heheheh i just joined a 0.0 corp WOOHOOOOO nice and u know wat.. found ANOTHER MALAYSIAN in the corp wooohooooo. told him about kopitiam (nick: kelvinc)....

yeah i know... stoopid me tot this would be a breazy patch like the previous one so set a day long skill that ends just nice at the original proposed time. So happy happy slept early and woke up at 3 am to reset the skill. THEN u know wat happendlah

a case of trying to be too smart ended up being too stoopid hhehehe. i have only myself to blam

now i have to wait longer to fly a raven

um yeah a heads up THERE IS AND ISSUE ABOUT ESCROW.... A BPO looks like a BPC and A BPC looks like a BPO.. so be carefull when buying from escrow....

XJC - had alook at your excel sheet. nice. i think that info if plugged into the mining payout mechanism will provide a much fairer distribution compared to a timebased one. Built a timebased sheet for my old corp before and had similar issues of the uber miners vs noobs. but then it was a chance for the old corp to entice noobs to be active.

on mining contracts - if you guys do get together an start organising regular mining ops im interested to buy mexallon at 7 million for every 2 weeks. Because kernites also give trit and isogen i will also buy those 2 mins at 3.5 mil units each every 2 weeks. once the contract has regularise (at least 3 deliveries) - there is an option in increasing the units delivered. Mins are to be sent to Elonaya in Lonetrek.

I agree with you Roland on the point that we got to think global. However, this global perspective can be achived either corporation wise or alliance wise. so our intentions are to create a much more malaysian (or +8 to +10 GMT) centric corporation and do stuff with ppl with more or less the same timezone (less need to wake up at 3-4am to defend a sieged POS or carrier jump with the rest of the cap fleet). later on definitely when we are ready to play with the big boys and claim/defend a 0.0 region yeah defo we need to hook up with an allround global alliance with strong players in all tz. heheh then maybe we can build or capture a station and call it Mamak Central

on the socialise issue - i couldnt agree with you more. There is a need to interact with others and lessen this katak bawah tempurung phenomenon.
