You didn't tank for EM? With the kind of crap weather we're having, you have to! I bought one of those Belkin powerboards (RM100 for a 4-plug, I think, and got warranty, too!) and it's also got a surge protector for the phone line. I run the phone line thru another surge protector I got from the PC store, and there's a main surge protector at the telephone line point of entry outside the house (this one, PLT M200V, for RM250 each). I've lost a couple of modems and comps to lightning before, you see. Thousands of dollars down the drain. Gonna make sure it won't happen again. Looking to get a UPS too.

You don't go and buy a Raven and fly it into 0.0 without insurance right? The Raven might be 100m, and the insurance a third of that, 30ish mil, but you still HAVE to pay it to cut your losses right? You're not going to pay the cheapo insurance are you? It's either Platinum or don't undock. Same thing here. Either you get the best you can afford, or don't turn on your comp. That way you're CERTAIN of not losing that much,

Looking thru the forums, it seems that 900k starter chars w/ a couple of Lvl Vs are set to go with Kali.

Now how does this affect us?

Well, apart from the whining by vets, it means that noobs have a lower barrier of entry. It also means that alts have a lower barrier of entry. What to do with those alts? Well, they can mine more for sure. They can also pop significantly greater rats with ease. This of course menas that it'll be easier for macroers and Jita suicide gankers to get in on the action without having to waste time training.

In any case, when they do come out, I'll be sure to get a new alt. My current alt has done Frig V but I'm not too keen on reviving her cos she's only got about 600k SP, mostly in one skill, meaning she's still pretty useless. Except in a frig. Which means she's pretty useless lah. Also, I really wanna try out the new char generation, based on the same Gallente PvPer mold. And if I do trial with a 800k char, I get to do much more by the time trial expires. Probably be able to set the new alt of for Cruiser V or BS V at the end of trial, and leave her for a while. And possibly kick start another dedicated alt, possibly for the industrial/research side of things.

Also since everyone's probably going to make a new combat alt, why don't we do the suicide gank thing and take out a few macroers, just for the hell of it? They'd probably have new alts for defense too, but hey, if we got a Kopitiam N00b Ganksquad warping in, I think people will take notice... heh heh.

But I know that by far the biggest question on everyone's lip is of absolute and utter importance, and the whole weight of the Eve world depends on this, and the sheer gravity of the potential consequences has such damaging repercussions that it will make Mon G straight:

I read that if you whack SOE until standing dam high, then do Caldari, you'll end up ahead, cos by doing Caldari missions, your negative hit on Gallente/Minnie is much less that the positive gain from each SOE mission.

Like, if you get SOE/Gallente/Minnie to 9.
Then do caldari to 9.
Your SOE/Gallente/Minnie will still be positive, and therefore you are not KOS by anyone.

But really, who cares about Gallente and Minmatar...

(actually I kinda do, which is why none of you will see me kill Gallente....)

I kept on telling Shaff not to go kill Gallente... but he kept on saying that they were smelly. I told him no, but he quickly ran away, crying in his hands. Then I heard him start the raven and back it out of the driveway, and next thing you know, it's all over the Malay Mail. Shaff killed a whole planet full of Gallente, which actually is quite easy to do but that is not the point right now. So I send him an evemail saying stop, it's not good to kill Gallente, because otherwise we got no more people to joke about, or to laugh at. But he said no. He will kill more and more Gallente, and sleep on a bed made from their bloody tags.

He's like Rambo.

Shaff, I think your paladin must be Gallente.


In anticipation of the upcoming patch, and the subsequent 7 days straight devoted to eve after the patch is done, I decided to take gf pak tor. Make it a special date lah, so that way she'd be in the forgiving mood when she finds out that eve> her for the next week or so. I hope.

Anyway, it's not like can play eve tonight lah. But I paid the price... dinner pretty much was a year's subscription 0.o but damn yummy (not yumi) tho.

Now I'm gona crank up NVN2 and show Shaff how a decent char (prolly Caldari) pwns his frog-speaking limp-wristed Gallente paladin.
