Yesterday, I received a phone call from this number 03-78491300.
They asked my permission to buy credit card insurance i think....RM90 per year, said can claim this and that...
and they knew my name, and what card do I use now, they also asking for my IC and mailing address.
They will use my credit card number to buy this service....they said Maybank asked them to call me.
The caller is from 3PP, anyone heard that before???  

He said under the Macau Scam (involving spoofing), prospective victims were approached by people posing as police or bank officers. They would inform the victims that their bank accounts or credit cards had been hacked by third parties. The victims were warned that if they did not transfer their cash to "safe" accounts, they risked losing all their money.

I just receive a call from 0147283092, claim from maybank and ask me if i have any issue using their credit card.

As i know this is fraud call, i ask why you calling from mobile number, she say this not a mobile number this TM direct line they play on hold tone for me, its not relevant at all.

She ask me again if i have issue with my master card and read out fast2 the credit card number. Aware that this and i try to not layan her and when she ask something i answer some rubbish try not to say yes on any part of the conversation.

she get mad at me and say "pukimak" and hang out the phone, i save the number as to Spam001, i'll start saving every number from this thread today onwards, just to be on safe side.

my card had been cancelled.. waiting for new card..

here is some short stories. suspicious call claiming from MY Premium insurance company bla bla, keep promoting, and call my number to find my dad (is that very funny??). den i just entertain them lor (dun be rude to ppl LOL). let them say bla bla bla, and say request for my CIMB credit card number etc.. i terus say "the card i cancelled ady, and now i got no credit card on hand, so sorry cannot accept ur offer, as i not yet meet requirement of credit card" she terus change tone like scold me lying bla bla bla, and what i did, most good, open song, put phone near speaker, and let them hear the song..

hi all, does / can bank ask ic for verification? is it safe to give?

but if let say i apply the cc, then they will call for name, ic for verification....
is it normal for bank to verify like this?

Got a call from 0162086243 and 0162120475 today
The first call - 0162120475

She asked if I have receive my CC. I acknowledge. She then asked what type of card Visa or Master? I said I couldnt remember as the card is not with me right now. She said she will call me back tomorrow for confirmation. 
Second call - 0162086243 (1 hour after the first call)

Saying they are from Maybank and wanted to offer me a discount card since i have 2 CC from Maybank.

He got my full name & IC number. He then gave me a warning to not give the 3 digits behind the CC to anyone because bank will never asked for it (to make it seems legit? )

He also explained that the 16 digits in front is "nombor pendaftaran" and is safe to give other people this number. He then asked for my 16 digits and expiry date on my CC.

I decline to give.

Today I received a call from 052415188, they claim that they are from maybank.
They got all my information included workplace, address, salary, and so on.
They said to give me credit card, but I don't want they said can't.
Just ask me the branch I can collect credit card.

Anyone have this experience? I do not know where they got my information.
What should I do now?

In conversation they asked my mother name and I told them because I thought they really from maybank since they got all my information.
But I called to maybank and they said the number was not in their list.

I currently dont have any credit card. they know everything so i thought is true.
btw already i told them my mother's name. i worry they use to call bank to do anything because they even have my mother's name.
btw how do i keep track?
Is it possible they use my details to get my account? or i should close my account and change another?

Just remember one thing. Banks never calls!

she managed to read back my card number. then i gave her the valid thru and expiry date.so stupid.
