is it big diff on battery usage for cm7 and miui?

finally i made my purchase of defy. RM1050 AP set.

i managed to transfer about 90% of my contact to the new phone.. seems some or few contact when missing after changing phone (but i had sold off the old phone)

I have few question still about the defy that wish any sifu that can share information with me 

1) i wish to used the phone as modem.. but some how is not successful.

2) how long is the battery last on the phone? i have it full charge sat 6am.. 1030am seems about 30% gone...

3) what are the must have software to load for the phone, so far i only have angry birds

4) still no official update for 2.2...

use droid wall and block all the apps that u dont want to access the internet. that might help reduce a bit of network usage.

instead of juice defender, we can use the built in battery manager. set it to turn off data connection after 15 min of no activity.

huh??old sim card can affect the battery drain??wow then i have to change it dy...been using this old sim card since 2004 

anyone on stock ROM? can you guys pull out the swype apk and share it? i signed up for the swype beta but somehow keep hanging at the downloading screen. now using stock GB keyboard. pretty decent, but sometime, swyping is easier than tapping.

Hi, anybody experienced what looks like specks of dust underneath or within the defy's screen?

I sent it to the motorola center and they told me that its natural since their own service center model has this issue and its a design of the screen due to it being gorilla glass.

The specks are most visible under very bright light or under natural sunlight.

lol, i wont say beat la....as i mentioned, different user experience. some ppl like the fact that when they whip out their iphone, ppl will say, iphone wor...but whip out defy, ppl wont even see.....until you start streaming youtube videos with your phone in a mug of beer!!!

for me, defy is really a damn value phone. got ppl saying motorola regret selling defy at this price, thus trying to not really support it to make ppl migrate to atrix and stuffs like that. not sure true or not, but it does speak volume for the phone price/spec ratio. if you plan to get it, close eye get it. really worth it

let us know, cos i dont think many ppl will want to move back to stock SEA ROM, unless of course, urgent need to claim something

actually how long Defy will boot after flashing to Stock SEA ROM?
mine now more than 6-7 min already...
