Anyone has the motorola service centre contact number? I'm trying to find the service centre here in Kota Kinabalu but it looks like they had moved and did not update their address & contact details!  doh.gif  I'm hoping the service centre will know where is the service centre here in Kota Kinabalu, or at least the contact details. The previous service centre is located at Plaza Wawasan. If anyone has any information, that will be great help to me. Thanks a lot!  thumbup.gif

My setting:

22/300
43/700
56/1100
will change 700mhz to 42v since urs is stable  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Mine i set

20/300
38/600
57/1000

Tried 52/1000, my phone straight away crashed and rebooted and entered a boot-loop since i enabled 'set on boot'. Removed my memory card and somehow the settings got reset so lucky for me there. Note to self: Next time when playing around with new OC adjustments, disable the 'apply on boot' laugh.gif

at 55/1000 it was unstable, at 56/1000 it was stable most of the times but occasional reboots. at 57/1000 it was stable and so far no reboots yet thumbup.gif rclxms.gif

and btw, Beta 6 is out! rclxm9.gif

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1033654

Bugs said to be fixed:

Auto-brightness level transition alot smoother and quicker like the original motorola firmware's auto-level transition drool.gif
-Mic when running on speakerphone fixed (reported by forumer, still there in the bug list on the first post.)
-LED Blinks when charging (like other Android phones. Apparently Motorola is the only company that disables LED when charging)
-Battery drain issue might be fixed (didn't encounter this in beta 5.1 so no idea what does this do)
-Wifi said to be more stable than beta 5

problems reported:
- CPU usage flies to 90% if you DISABLE auto-brightness blink.gif
- some reported battery drain is higher instead

anyway, downloading now while i sleep. tomorrow wake up and flash laugh.gif

guys...my nokia e72 already dead during my fieldwork...dead becoz of the sea water...i forgot to take it out before i go swim..

so i wanna know, is dis fon is good for me, i'm thinking of buying galaxy sl to replace my e72, but my work as geologist required a tough fon like defy...

can we delete motoblur without rooting it coz i dont know anything bout root n i afraid i will brick it when rooting, n how long the battery life...my e72 can get to 4 days for normal usage...
*
The defy should be the perfect phone phone you. Water resistant and can survive a submersion provided all the ports and covers are closed properly. And the phone don't actually look rugged at all unless you tell people it is laugh.gif

Battery life depends on your usage really. But with a 1530mah battery, it's considered one of the largest battery in an android device thumbup.gif

about motoblur, it's not supported outside the USA so you don't need to register for the service. But the motoblur widgets are still there though but just install a 3rd party launcher like launcherpro or something then you're good to go

WORST NIghtmare ever!!!!
bricked my phone and now battery is running out...cannot flash sbf using rsd...defy is not charged in power off mode...
HELLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPP!!!
*
Go search phone shops for those universal phone chargers. Should cos you around 20 bucks I guess.

QUOTE(LeoWillis @ May 14 2011, 11:38 AM)
I guess different phone have different capability cpu, mine can run on 56/1100 with no unstable problem...
btw, I'm still using liqiudarc now... will be upgrade to CM7 soon... maybe when beta 7 release icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Same like pc overclocking I guess. Different units have different performance characteristics. And CM7 beta 6 is considered 99% working already so you can use it as your everyday rom no problem.

guys i have recharge my battery using universal charger
but when i boot into bootloader and plug into rsd lite it can't recognize my phone...
and i continue flash 2.2 nordic sbf from here http://and-developers.com/sbf:defy
after that i was stuck at please manually power up this phone status
so i unplug the usb and battery pull and power up to bootloader then it shows my battery low again =.=
any idea what's the problem?seems like i have completely bricked my phone sad.gif
*
if you have a voltmeter, check the voltage of the battery if its at least above 3.8v. a fully charged li-ion battery should be at 4.1~4.2v

and you sure you used the same USB port as you used to flash last time? Else, try reinstalling your USB drivers. Instead of flashing the Nordic, try flashing a full SBF like this

http://depositfiles.com/en/files/tjnmh6d98

make sure you clear the cache after you flash though.

wish you luck in recovering your phone smile.gif

After wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition, press "install zip from sdcard". Den need to apply for update ?
*
install zip from sd card, then browse to where you dumped the beta 6 file then after that do the same to the gapps file.

QUOTE(blackwhitechipsKL @ May 15 2011, 04:27 PM)
make sure you select the zip of CM7, dont apply the update.zip option.

Added on May 15, 2011, 4:28 pm

what was the problem you faced??
*
installation of beta 6 is super fast, like 5~10 seconds. after installing that and the gapps and reboot, the phone gets stuck at the white motorola screen.

after that, i tried using 2nd init version 1.4 instead and installation of beta 6 took around 20~30s i think and after reboot the cm7 logo came up and it ran smoothly rclxms.gif

QUOTE(Silenced @ May 15 2011, 04:31 PM)
the installing step for Beta 3 is same as Beta 6?
Are we going to lose downgrade ability by going to CM7?
the Beta 6 still doesnt have the Camcoder function?
*
beta 6 already have a camcorder lol.

my camcorder works fine though so don't really need that laugh.gif

btw, to those running on CM7, heres a quick tip. Go to DSPManager(in your app list) -> headset -> Bass Boost ON and set strength to moderate.

you flashed the 2.51 or 3.4.3?

if you flashed the 3.4.3, you enter recovery mode by pressing vol up and down together, if you flashed the 2.51, you enter recover mode by pressing the left bottom(or right bottom, can't remember) of the screen with your finger

btw, leaving for NS tomorrow, won't be seeing you guys for 3 months after today sad.gif

just flash to cm7 again. flash the 3.4.3 full sbf and make sure you wipe data/cache before and after flash same as before else you might be stuck at the blur logo again. after that root and install 2nd init version 1.4(latest version sucks) then load the cm7.zip and gapps.zip, wipe data and cache again, reboot, voilla!
