Hi guys, is this DM1 still running warm ever after a new revision (that come with Brozos 2.0)?
I know the newly launched APU is basically the same as the old E-Series APU but just wonder if HP take this opportunity to improve DM1 heat dissipation when they upgrade it with Brazos 2.0 (E1 or E2 APU). |

QUOTE(mitodna @ Jun 18 2012, 01:00 PM) unsure, but to be honest, dm1-4010au is really hot (E-450). Thank you for a very honest info sharing. I have a hunch that 18W APU in that small chasis could be a recipe for disaster but I also thought that HP might have take that into account while designing the system. But after reading your post, now I am not so sure about what HP has done all this while. try burn it with FurMark and Prime95. side note: for those having stuck keyboard and mouse, after a while, please contact hp support, it is a main board issue. seems that HP is quite famous on keyboard and mouse not working after heating it. weird. Thanks again bro. |

QUOTE(mitodna @ Jun 19 2012, 02:33 AM) hot is subjective, while i don't have thermometer, this notebook, if office use, not gaming, it is quite operational, you did not feel any heat over the palm rest, Woow! That's a bit of a problem, at least to me.but operating on top of lap is suicide mission, the major heat will be on the left, an bottom but to be honest, this laptop has the best touch pad, usable click button, keyboard is good to my liking. plus point is that HP is still the one sell 3 years on-site warranty even for this low price notebook interesting temperature, do note, it is Fahrenheit value http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?...ming+4010us&p=4 As for the 3-years onsite warranty, how much did you pay for it? Anyway, thank you so much for your honest info sharing. |

QUOTE(karim_effendy @ Jun 20 2012, 08:39 PM) it does not feels very hot la. only feels very warm from the vent on the left side. the adverts say got cool sense technology. hahaha couldn't ask more for a RM1199 netbook. i even got the backpack with that price. Unable to use on your lap is one of the biggest drawback for this class of laptop. |
