As long as your RM28/month unlimited internet package is active, it should not cost you extra....

UM can only get better for us cause its partly foreign owned like Digi icon_idea.gif

DiGi is much better than the other 2 other celcos interms of customer satisfaction.........just try to call their individual CSO, which is the best? maxis charge u via 1300820120 and celcom CSO read from a manual book when replying, just like dummies

+1.

Hmm....

Quoted from soyacincau link:

Update: It looks like U Mobile has removed all the related information on its Singapore rates posted here. We have no idea why it has been removed.

I wonder why? unsure.gif

QUOTE(ming86 @ Jul 23 2011, 07:56 PM)
just brought a starter pack, try the 5sen/MB mobile internet.
data roaming (EDGE) is slow and speed is not stable, maximum 9-10kB/s...
using it own UMOBILE3G, not stable also, 12-40kB/s.
sungai nibong, penang area.

the call rate is 9sen/30sec, mean is 18sen/min.

Added on July 23, 2011, 8:13 pmthe roaming is not stable, most of the time will get GPRS, hard to get EDGE.
just notice that when i manually select the network, DiGi is not appear on the list.
but unable to log in to umobile2G, izit the umobile2G is DiGi network?

I still have not seen UM2G till now. U Mobile roams with celcom network outside its own network.

Using 64K speed or are they yet to throttle down your speed?
*
Yes. Sometime when i wanted to format my PC and update the AV or OS, i will subscribe to Digi unlimited internet RM3 per day.

I really hope that U mobile is gonna offer a better package for this like RM36 for 150 mins n 50 sms. Now considering getting a 2nd prepaid U mobile sim.

have a feeling there is still a lack of the 3g towers on umobile's side
but then... no complains when youre at the open space
*
Same to me as well when i am in a building, but i can use it in my room and most of the area outside the building.

Hi.

If u exceed free 100mins talking in less than 1 month, u need to top up, right?

So what is the talktime rate per min for the excess?
*
Top up won't give you another 100 mins, just get another sim card and subscribe to another plan. I really hope that U mobile intro a plan with 300 mins free talk time and more sms freebies for a good price. biggrin.gif

Hey guys, have a few questions here.

In general :

1) Calls between umobile are free? As long as i top up rm30/month, i get to call umobiles number for free right for 30 days right?
Posted at umobile website :
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

2) What is the sms charges within umobile? Is it free within umobile?
3) If i subscribe to the unlimited mobile internet (rm28/month)
I get :
•Unlimited Mobile Internet
•100 minutes nationwide calls
•30 SMS
•Hassle-free auto-renewal
•Prepaid convenience with no contract and commitment

In conclusion the plan would be :
1) RM30 reload a month, left with rm2 after payment for unlimited internet
2) Free calls to umobile (unlimited)
3) Free 100minutes call to other network
4) Free 30 sms
5) 500mb of internet, throttle after cap

*
1. I have not tried that out yet.

2. Have not heard of it.

3. You get RM4.50 bonus after top up RM30. After 500MB, internet speed is being throttled to 64kbps. (Enough for whats apps i guess.)

QUOTE(half_lif3 @ Aug 12 2011, 08:03 PM)
very disappointed with umobile prepaid plan.

1. deduct my credit for no reason

2. 1st time call to customer service admitted that is their technical issue. the lady say they will refund before my expiry date. So i'm being nice and i trusted her and waited almost 1 month.

3. now almost until my expiry date they never refund back my credit

4. 2nd time call to customer service and they accuse me that i renewed for the unlimited internet twice. hence it was deducted. argue for almost 10 minutes. then only the customer service admitted that they having technical difficulties during that period.

5. 3rd time they provide me a case ID and it seems i have to wait forever to get my missing credit. what the..

6. i never exceeded 500mb nor seldom using any of the free call / sms. what for i renew the unlimited internet twice

Umobile..i am so frustrated...!!!  vmad.gif

http://u.com.my/faqs/free-sim-pack

No.3 says within 5 working days. Your ordered it 4 days ago, which is Friday? Should receive by Thursday lerrr.

Anyone know what is the fair usage policy if I do not subscribe the unlimited internet plan? The link here doesn't specify: http://www.u.com.my/policies-terms-and-con...ir-usage-policy

If there's no limit, then it's cheaper not to subscribe. 5sen per MB X 500MB = RM25. Compared to RM10 + RM28 = RM38.
*
Mind telling me what is the RM10 for?

Also, free calls save me quite a lot of cash actually.

okay my story is quite long so i make  it in brief
1st i go sign a promotion package few years back at lowyat
a promoter promote me this that thingy u mobile offer
it is a broadband packages
just need RM50 for first time register or so so,blah blah blah, free modem, can return in few days if not satisfy
i try in and sucks!! slow like grandma!
the bad thing is i figure this slow po out after its returns condition(in few days, forget how many days)
so i have no choice, keep using it
but worse thing come, after a month or so it stop working
i did write an email to cancel but they said will penalty RM1000+ for the modem!
i complain bout the slow but they say i should return in the trial period!
so i ignore it
after 1 year or 2,they call me for paying the due,
i did recall this suck thing theni have no choic since they call everyday to chase the money
after paying minimum every month
i stop paying again and this time they didnt bother e anymore
when i saw the grandma advertisement on the roadside
i feel so ?!!
anyway, i wont even give a try anymore on umobile
*
I do heard some people are being "threaten" to go to the court over this matter.

Anyway, i prefer to avoid post paid as i really do not like the telco to simply bill and we have to pay later. If use prepaid, we can always know if there is something wrong about the bill if the credit is not enough or drain too fast.

I totally agree wif u on digi... abt the connection some say good n some say bad, it's very well area dependent... if ur area is good, de speed u'll b getting will be good as well...

so if u ask me, I wud say try to test out in ur area that u'll b using ur bb most of de time, if de signal is good... u'll b getting good speed 4 sure... no worries...

wink.gif

Indeed. nod.gif

Digi's internet performs well in cities mostly and not suitable for surfing while traveling.
