Hey bro I received SMS from maxis n umobile saying my porting successful. But when I change sim, I can't call out also. R u using iPhone?

Call CS at 1318. Your phone should be able to call umobile CS for free even though cannot call out.

I encountered the same when I MNP. The CS reset something and told me to switch off and on the phone after 10 min. It worked after that. Mine is Samsung S2.

This would mean, for example, if you running a background program that goes online every 5 mins to check for updates, then even each time it connects it's only use a few 10kb or whatever, it would charge 5 sens each time.

if you have app that set to auto software updates, that will consume a lot of data. I got the same shock at first, until I set everything to manual software updates. Also, you can save money by switching off unused app.

I spend no more than $0.70 if I have no wifi for that day. With wifi, I spend $0.

can i subscribe to the rm28 for 30 days package ... and then use the data in singapore?
*
Only Prepaid user can enjoy the special data roaming rate of $0.30/mb while in Singapore. Your roaming charge in Singapore is not within the package, so you will be charged everytime you use... can be expensive if you use it often.

Have you registered thru *118# by keying your name & ic number. You should receive a sms confirmation your line is actice in few minutes only after sending the information. I bought my sim pack from 7-Eleven store, they will not do the registration for you like other shop which will request your id card or record your name & ic number.
*
I also bought from 7-Eleven, but they did the registration for me. Activation took 14 hours.

anyone experience this?
I'm working and living in singapore, forgot to top up my SIM which expired few days ago.
someone mentioned that umobile confirmed that we have 3 months b4 account terminated.
but currently I can't connect to any singapore network, is this normal? kinda make sense to not be able to roam when validity expired...
is that mean I can only top up my account when I'm back in malaysia?
anyone can confirm that we can still connect to umobile network AFTER validity expired?

Stated in umobile FAQ:

"If I purchase a top-up voucher from 7E in Malaysia and bring it along to Singapore, will I be able to top-up while on roaming in Singapore?
Yes, you can. You can top-up by choosing any of these two methods. *118# or send a SMS to 22128 to top up."

I am not sure about receiving calls with expired card when roaming in Singapore. But for Digi Prepaid, you can only 'receive' call but cannot make outgoing call if you account is expired (Digi phrase it as 'inactive' period within 90 days)

Wts do we need to activate if roaming at singapore? Ths

For prepaid, roaming in Singapore is automatic.
No need to do anything extra, just use as normal.

Dear Boss's here

May i ask how to deactivate the Umobile voicemail?
*
I was told by customer service previously that if cancel voicemail, we will also not receive Miss Call Alert. That is why I still bear with the Voice Mail until today. Miss Call Alert is too important to forego.
