hi guys, im noob at overclocking, pls help me.
im using P4 2.4 B, 512kb L2 cache.
i heard that this proc max clock speed is 3Ghz izzit true??
last time i was able to overclock my proc from 133 to 166, that is 2988Mhz. it was stable and can complete several benchmark. i was using 512MB apacer DDR RAM running at 2-3-3-7 timing. PCI & AGP frequency locked.
but after i add another 512MB RAM to my system, my PC cant OC even to 145 FSB, dunno why, can someone tell me??

For starters maybe u can try raise .05v or .10v see which is available...then watch carefully the temp readings...if u cant read the temp readings...try and touch ur CPU Cooler...if hot as hell u might consider getting a better cooler b4 starting to raise the vcore.... mine is northwood, current voltage is 1.584V, is it save to go beyond 1.6V? |

want to ask that every CPU hv maximum clock speed that can operate?? over the clock speed will burn the CPU ???
