ES is a short form of an engineering sample for those who have no idea what it means. Basically the difference between ES and the retail is just simply the capability to play with the multipliers. Or in other words, the multiplier is not locked, so the more straightforwardly it's for you to optimize your settings. So there will not be any case where "my processor is holding me down, so I can't get the full potential of my TCCD".

ES is better in terms of more GHz doesn't exist in my book, but in terms of optimizing yes indeed. Maybe what you have heard is basically ES is better in terms of optimization of settings.

Hello to all sifu,

Need some advice here.Whats the diff between the new LGA 775 and the old?The old one using 800fsb and the new one 533fsb.Is there any major diff in performance? My last proc died was 2.8 800fsb now looking for replacement but the 800 ones are beyond my current budget.
Could u mind tell the diff between those two?TQ
