mikelanding, there is few tips to ensure u get a c2 board

1st. at the top of the board, above ram slots, got small capacitor with puple label.. most c1 has larger capacitor there.

2nd. ask the shopper when did the stock for that ds3 arrived. if in october, it should be c2.

And for now all c2 ds3 comes with F4 bios ..

Any other way to physically identifying a DS3 C2 board aside from the capacitor difference?

Planning to get one in the coming pc fair to reduce risk. But even then seller might have old stock. They got write anything on the board or not like mebbe rev. Xxx ?

rev c2 and rev c1 has same rev number on the board wink.gif

@gengstapo

not necessary. it's just like a new driver update, or bios update. many people think the latest should be better, but thats not alwiz true..

but as we know the c2 fixed some minor issue founded in c1, so it's better to have a newer one..

but i dont think it worth people change their c1 board just to get the newer c2..

dang u! tongue.gif

but anyway i'm quite happy with this p5w dh. last time i used p5b deluxe and 2 of the reasons i dont really like it are because it's not so compatible with my ram (memtest failed even at stock) and bcoz it keep switch off and on again every time i restart pc..

for this p5w dh, the latest beta bios fixed the reboot bug biggrin.gif and i've no problem with my memory..

but deep inside my heart, i like abit bcoz of its professional looks (not bcoz of its blink2 led laugh.gif )
