QUOTE(iBenQ @ Feb 17 2009, 11:42 PM) higher fsb strains more on ur mobo than processor... this is a good way of finding ur fsb wall, and yes, high fsb with lower multiplier is better than high multiplier with lower fsb... dats bcos ure making the mobo, and ram run at a higher speed... one of the mobo that has the highest fsb wall is biostar tpower i45.... easily 600fsb, world record is 700fsb oohh..now my pc running at 350/1400 FSB..my ram are limiting me now, try boot at 400 FSB but it wont post..jelous saw those performance oc board can do high FSB..

QUOTE(hilmiangah @ Feb 18 2009, 07:34 PM) u sure ur ram is limiting u??? coz at 400fsb u can still run ur ram at it native speed of 800mhz. try pump a bit more vcore and see whether it boot. Added on February 18, 2009, 7:35 pmare u running ur proc the e5200 at 350fsb without lowering the multiplier or what??? yup, i misunderstand..not my ram..it still run in stock speed..now use 6-8 multiplier to boot up with 300+ fsb..is it vcore or NB voltage cz read some where need to pump more volt on NB when run high fsb..? one more thing, how to check NB temperature, i cannot find it in BIOS..got people say, touch the NB hsf when your pc are running, if can touch it more than 10 sec with out burn your skin, it safe ..
