Which one? My E8400 needs 1.408V (actual voltage) to be stable at 4.1Ghz - running more Orthos to burn in now.
sorry meant kevin wcw...
so high vcore for u to reach 4.. 500x8 or 445x9.
dude seriously i have been playing around with this proc for a few days..
its always been sometimes not enough or too much nb/pll and fsb termination..
TIP:1.Set a vcore voltage depending on ure cooling. ( u should know roughly how much it can take at load)
2.Load into windows are a reasonable voltage and mhz speed that i know definately will work.. etc 9x400
with relax mem timings mem usually 2.2-2.3v
3.Use memset and set at spd timings or epp profile if u have and overclock with setfsb
4.a)Run orthos small fft priority 10.. if pass 10 minutes keep increasing to the next 5mhz
b)if fail like close to 10 minutes.. will lower it to priority 8 then must pass 30 minutes..
then try occt 30 minutes..if OCCT fail.. must be NB/PLL voltage increase..
try again with different NB and PLL.. if pass then continue on
i usually do a increment of 5mhz and then once if it fails i do a decrement of 2.5mhz
5.Once i find the best setting then will go for long time run Orthos priority 8 blend 2 hours priority
6.Set in Bios and do a OCCt 30 minutes to double check on the blend and run memtest windows.. try to empty all ure mem amount till u left less than 50mb left.. run for around 20 minutes.. or 1000%. with no errors..
use memset to change ure main timings.
heck u can game anything with this.
oh yeah here is a kicker.. for another test on NB/PLL..
if ure download torrent using utorrent.. while running ORTHOs etc set the utorrent to cache mem around 64mb.
if ure mouse gets laggy any time u move around the screen.. means mem/nb/pll/fsb termination unstable
