i got put devider for my ram & loosen off all the timings when i oc my cpu...
but shouldn't be the rams that cause the limitation...
as last night till now i'm running at 250mhz ddr500 2.5-3-3-5 PAT and test stable.

as for vcore.. , i've tried increase the vcore... it seems didn't works though..
at 3.6ghz 240 fsb, i'm 2 prime stable at 1.5v ....
got once when i'm madddd~ ... when ocing fsb 255 , keep upping my vcore till 1.65v .. doh.gif
but still.. it didn't works... , as keep on fluctuating...
sigh..~..  so sad...`
hmm...  if cooling it's the problem...  how would the thermal cause the fluctuations of the frequency? ...
hmm... when i upping fsb above 240 , the full load temp. is 70c .
but prescott can handles safe temperature range till 80c right?
and again.. , is it possible that thermal causing the fluctuations?
i never heard intel cpu got this feature.

my 2.4c D1 is currently overcloked to 3.2Ghz. ram timing is 2.5-3-3-7 and divider 5:4. my ram is OCZ platinum EL PC3200 rated at 2-2-2-5. my processor is running on stock HSF and just recently i have cleaned the surface of the cpu, so there is no more cooling cream, only pure contact between the cpu and heatsink. on idle, the temperature is 40 while in full load it's 50. so far so good as it is stable and passed all tests.

my question is can i go higher without risking of damage to my cpu. how high can i go with stock HSF. i'm sure i haven't hit the wall yet, but i don't dare to push higher, risking my components.

any advice will be appreciated

WAH gang!1 thumbup.gif Overclock wit stock HSF .. . . my one 2.6c oc to 3.25.. divider 1:1 ram timing 2.5.3.3.7.. ur one also can reach 3.2Ghz.. may i know what mainboard u using now

p4 3.0GHz prescott can reach around 39-40sec with tight ram timing, and after overclocked to 4.0GHz, migh hit 30/31sec

very nice results for a 2.6c proc overclocked to 3.3GHz thumbup.gif

Ram = max 2.8v

Nevermind lol, BTW I'm just "waiting" for something new. After I get these stuff I will perform a serious overclocking series that never be attempted by everyone...hehehe brows.gif

BTW, how about your PAT setting? It enable or disable during overclocking?  tongue.gif
*
i'm using IS7-E mobo(I865PE) so i thing it did't have PAT setting right? tongue.gif

ur "waiting" mean planning to change a NEw pC?? i also planing to get new AMD64 system. but problem is i did't have money >_< cry.gif
