Hi again...I just wanna ask about the FSB:DRAM ratio. Wat issit actually?
Here's mine, issit a good to have a 1:1 or there is a better ratio?
Need guidance from some pros pls.

btw.. wats ur stock ram speed? coz u r using 1:1 but ur ram runs at 141.01(oc'n 8.+)

that means u r using ram wit speed 266ddr blink.gif

fsb:dram is d ratio of front side bus wit speed pf ram..when u wanna oc higher, u need to use divider/ratio to hit higher speed.. d correct way to nnoe wats ur highesrt speed of ur ram, u can see it at d pinned section of oc united..

QUOTE
t was 333 before I tweak the timing from 3-4-4-8 to 2.5-3-3-7.

tweakin d ram will not effect d speed u r runnin, it will effect if u change d fsb...

I want to suggest something.

Why don't you guys make a proper overclocking database for Intel. The requirement is simple.... just 8 hours prime stable. Post a screenshot with 2 cpu-z showing cpu and ram properties. That's all.

if u guys agree.... antonio can pm me and we'll work things out.
*
ermm... act wanna ask long time liao.. y got no database for intel.. northwood or wat ever... jus curious.. coz amd d last time also got database...

i think a database for pentium is a must... thumbup.gif happy OC'n...

New burn-in processor method.
Overclocked ur proc UNDER defaults voltage..
Results ! P4 630 3Ghz @ 3.825Ghz AT 1.34volts! Defaults 1.4volts! drool.gif

method:
1)overclock proc at default voltage to max (prime stable)
2)under volts at one notch..prime again..
3)keep under volts until prime95 unstable/error.

ive successfully under volts my P4 630  to 1.34volts.
from 1.4v,1.38,1.37,1.36,1.35 to 1.34volts.
Runs colder & ROCK Stable.

u need to run sometest to noe wheter ur pc stable or not... try priming it..

bout d temp its normal..this is due to software prob.. jus use it as reference.. d bios one shud b d correct one.. but sometimes d bios 1 also got bugs.. doh.gif

u try first lor do mild oc.. if d psu dun kaboom or dun fluctuates much, then can use for mild oc lor..

I'm now using P4 2.4c... but somethin weird comeout whn i try to oc it with my new RAM... I install 2 stick of 512MB PC3200 DDR Kingston... Bought it with RM175 each at December... Whn i oc the System bus... seems tht my system cannot boot at all... It seriously jammed on the boot screen... I remember be4 this... I'm using two 256MB DDR400 Kingston also... But those are planted with HYNIX chipset... With my old RAM... i managed to OC it to 2.6Ghz... But... with my new RAM... even i cannot increase the system bus... Whole system jammed down... What actually is going on? (I'm a newbie 'Noob' in oc... ) Thanks...!!!

u say ur psu autoshutdown ma...

to confirm wheter its ur psu prob, i think u better plug off all hardware such as dvdrom, uv ccfl ...etc... and test it to oc it.. if still autoshutdown..then i think its ur psu prob..or jus plain loose plug? blink.gif

dunno...

ah... any oher way to test it?? it's kinda difficult for me to unplug all the hardware inside my CPU..
*
huhuhu..i dunno .. mayb other forummer can help..

since u say it autorestrat, mayb it doesnt supply enough power..so unplug other hardware to reserve more power for d psu to use when u oc..

or mayb ur proc limited u already wit d stock vcore.. try increase d vcore can solve this prob or not...

or mayb random boot was causes by other hardware such as d ram.. try test it using memtest..

hope it help though...
