A good win. Playing Blackpool at their home is never easy. AW definitely made a very effective changes today by bringing in Diaby.

the whole team were very slopp, giving damn a lot of ball away..i watch until heart terkeluar le
a scrappy win, we missed a lot of very good chances! their penalty claim wise, lets not ArsenalBias the first one, i've seen referee not given those penalty before that guy was definitely playing the penalty, he was dropping even before the contact and im not sure how much of a contact there is (i gotta see the replay again) and besides that he was never getting the ball on a clear shot, nor was his pass to the other pool player reaches a clear cut chance so maybe that's how the referee sees it i don't remember the 2nd penalty claim i was actually working while streaming the footy, so kinda missed a fair part of the game looking forward to MOTD nevertheless its a good result, this means we got another week to play for and still in for a call to press MU |

1 interesting moment for me was when Abou stupidly getting yellow card for kicking the ball away after the foul had been given against us. Cesc physically pushed him away to prevent him from creating further damage to him and us as a whole (see Newcastle away for reference). i never Cesc did that before, he was never the vocal type of captain ala Paddy where he can be vocal against the opponents or against his own players whenever the needs arise. honestly i never thought Cesc had it in him, until tonight that is
i'm not sure if this change can benefit the team, but i do know i like what i'm seeing |

QUOTE(ivanau88 @ Apr 10 2011, 11:33 PM) i actually don't like to remember that game for the obvious reason, but then when someone come out with this statement i can't resist to replyGael did not cost us anything, the stupid referee cost us that match and our weak mentality cost us the season afterward. the penalty given against Gael was the wrong decision, Gael never touch the B'ham player as he cleanly get the ball. yes he did give the ball away which leads to the incident but how can you fault him when the decision to award the penalty was wrong? just for the record, i think we can do better than Gael but we have more pressing matter on hand other than him right now |

Clichy is still miles ahead of Gibbs in terms of positioning and defending but weaker in crossing and attacking style.
What Arsenal really need is stronger defending and not doing a Barca-style where RB and LB are the real winger which are easily caught off guard. Anyway MOTD pls |

QUOTE(Azurues @ Apr 10 2011, 11:45 PM) Clichy is still miles ahead of Gibbs in terms of positioning and defending but weaker in crossing and attacking style. I doubt this based on the past couples of games. Gibbs looks quite promising before his injury but not so sure at the moment since there's not much 1st team play time for him.Didnt catch the 1st half, but based on his(Clichy) 2nd half performance, he's only as good as 2nd string player. Made a very naive schoolboy mistake and luckily pak Lehman saved his ass. What kind of mentality was that? AW really needs to address this kind of mistake seriously. Same goes to Nasri & Cesc. Everyone knows that EPL ref most of the time does not protect ball holding players but yet they still think the other way round. Without Song, the defence really out of sort. Almost heart attack inducing everytime Blackpool counter-attack. It's like there's no organization & communication between the back 4. What are our defence coaches doing? Such defence wont win us anything. AA almost look-likes a 'dead-man walking' case. Being subbed at 60th min tells all. |

I also agree that Clichy is still the best LB in Arsenal. Maybe Gibbs does not get enough games to prove.
I am one of the Eboue's fans. Happy that he's on the scoresheet |

You want to blame the refree? He is clumsy but his tackle is good and pacey too.Gael did not cost us anything, the stupid referee cost us that match and our weak mentality cost us the season afterward. the penalty given against Gael was the wrong decision, Gael never touch the B'ham player as he cleanly get the ball. yes he did give the ball away which leads to the incident but how can you fault him when the decision to award the penalty was wrong? just for the record, i think we can do better than Gael but we have more pressing matter on hand other than him right now To sell him away is a very bad idea unless Wenger got him a darn good LB. |

gibbs againts MU is a disaster..but i like when AW played both of them, clichy and gibbo..they can exchange place and makes it harder to penetrate the flanks..
And wow..El Capitan should score..300th games for Arsenal at 23..salute. But...guys,checked out his tweet, sounds like new hope or, a goodbye to me |
