Hey guys,

I'm searching for a drummer (though I already have one, but this is for a side project - paid gigs to play cover songs). Basically, once a week kinda paid gig.

So long as you have your own instrument, it's good enough (for your own practise that is)

Songs would be along the lines of Nirvana, Smashing PUmpkins, Seether, RHCP, STP - anything commercial rock, grunge, post-grunge in general.

Two of us live in Cheras and the other Old Klang Road (but moving soon to Cheras) respectively.
Hmm yea so it'll be a 4 piece band.

I need a drummer (double padle) and guitarist (drop D-fast riffing). I used to have a band and play gigs but unfortunately due to our busy commitment in our professional job, we stop playing music.. its sucks.. Now looking for a new band or lineup..

Were a metal band comprising of a drummer,bassist and vocalist and we're just lacking a guitarist or 2 (rhythm, lead or rhythm + lead) . We usually jam around Kota Damansara or within that area once a week, We have originals and we enjoy doing all sorts covers. We do play in gigs and we are in the process of recording our material...we just.. don't have a guitarist..to do all that stuff....

Our influences as a band: Opeth, Metallica (a rather obvious one i know), Deftones, Killswitch Engage, Gojira, Tool, Mastodon, Chimaira,Soulfly, Anthrax, Fear Factory, KoRn, Trivium, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Slipknot, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath,In Flames,Lamb of God and other bands from that era i suppose.

the requirements are pretty basic stuff: you need to have your own gear, transportation , be able to play in a couple of different tunings,able be somewhat animative when playing live or infront of an audience. and able to commit to the 'once a week' schedule. punctuality helps... I'm not sure if language would be an issue..we all speak English,

we're open to all forms of creativity, if its anything we're just trying to break from the metal-head stereotype.

This isn't an add looking for bandmates I’m pretty tired of that already. I’m looking for people who are interested in working with me on a creative project to contribute to my work or the sounds. I’m working on a concept idea on songs that I may sometimes mix genres depending on how the song is written.


What I’m looking for

Seasoned musicians who may not be looking for band, but wanting to contribute and commit to a project
Musicians with distinct influences and not bound to it
Musicians who are not afraid to go where the music takes them
You could have a portfolio so I can see what your sound is


Bass: know how to give kick, groove, minimal but powerful

Drummer: Great if you're got polyrhythm groove, otherwise just looking for a drummer who's a bit seasoned

Guitar: Noise, some leads, Rhythm, personal style (if possible)
