Composer looking for bandmates
1. state the instrument(s) you play; Primarily guitars
2. your influences/musical preferences; Radiohead, Nine inch nails, Of mice and men, Tool, The Stooges, Grinder monkey, Jesus and the mary chain, new order, Smashing pumpkins, VAST, Amen, Marilyn manson, Parkway Drive, Slipknot
3. looking for who; Drummer, bassist, guitarist (rhythm who play a bit of lead) Guitarist – don’t expect you to be able to play 1000 notes per minute, it would be great if you have a great sense of rhythm, have had experience in years of playing or gigging
Bass – a good minimalist, perhaps you might know how to keep a groove or deliver punch where necessary
Drummer – Would be great if you knew how to play polyrhythm beats, or influenced by the style of Steve Morris (New order drummer). The above would be bonus but I’m mostly looking for drummers with some experience, got kick and some know how.
4. his/her influences/musical preferences; I’m pretty sure most of the bands anybody talks about I have either heard of it or a fan. So I leave this space this empty.
5. your requirements
Around PJ,Sunway, Subang,Damansara Transport Commitment (don’t mind also if you do substance as long as you give a shit about the music, this also includes showing up for practice and generally pro-practise) Have your influence, but not bound by it Leaving the floor for people of any age Your life is defined by music and you’re looking for people who feel the same
6. any other related requirements.
Background information: I listen to a wide range of music and have diverse influence In my current band (metal core/progressive), I handled lead and fills guitar duties. I’m hoping to step up my game and make transition in vocals and guitar, hence this band I’m putting together will not be a metal core or metal band. Have some ideas currently and following a concept I’ve had for a long time.

I listen to a wide range of music and have diverse influence. No point talking telling you about long terms plans e.g composing. Just want the right people who are really musicians that can give a shit about things. So let the rotating door begin. In my current band (metal core/progressive), I handled lead and fills guitar duties. I’m hoping to step up my game and make transition in vocals and guitar.

I don't blame his cynic nature, after all finding committed/creative driven band mates who show up for practise
has been the bane of my existence, so much so i myself pushed myself to be more independent.
However i believe the scene is improving, but finding the right personal will always be a challenge in Malaysia

I don't know..after some time trying to find the right people i decided to be a composer so i don't have to rely on people
i get where this guy is coming from.
A guitarist i'm working wth right now told me, the slack attitude of malaysian musicians is something that is uniquely malaysian,
in places like Australia, it's easy to find members and get along easy.
i suppose it has a lot to do with the maturity of the country.

QUOTE(MakingPOPBAND @ Jan 10 2013, 10:46 AM) lol. stating a fact is trolling? hahaha whatever no use to argue with this kind of potato that can't face reality. hope you find somebody with transport that is interested to form band LOL. hahhahaha. my baseless judgement will "pijak" you talentless wannabe anytime. You sound like a young guy, although i would agree, you don't have to belittle people in these forums.. you never really know who you are dealing with or the kind of "talents" that are in these forums out of curiosity, what genre are you planning to form a band for ?

Looking for sessionist, collaborative or creative partners
This isn't an add looking for bandmates I’m pretty tired of that already. I’m looking for people who are interested in working with me on a creative project to contribute to my work or the sounds. I’m working on a concept idea on songs that I may sometimes mix genres depending on how the song is written.
What I’m looking for
Seasoned musicians who may not be looking for band, but wanting to contribute and commit to a project Musicians with distinct influences and not bound to it Musicians who are not afraid to go where the music takes them You could have a portfolio so I can see what your sound is
Bass: know how to give kick, groove, minimal but powerful
Drummer: Great if you're got polyrhythm groove, otherwise just looking for a drummer who's a bit seasoned
Guitar: Noise, some leads, Rhythm, personal style (if possible)
About myself
Currently have a band, going to finish off our concept EP soon. After which I like to focus on my personal work. I have a portfolio, will let you see once we know each other a bit
Bands I’m into, but generally listen to a lot of stuff
Radiohead, Nine inch nails, Of mice and men, Tool, The Stooges, Grinder monkey, Jesus and the mary chain, new order, Smashing pumpkins, VAST, Amen, Marilyn manson, Parkway Drive, Slipknot
I might listen to metal, but I don’t call myself metal, I’m just a musician.
