void warranty?
There sure are a lot of stuff that we wish to do onto our ride - DRL, boot lamp, HID, reverse sensor, autolock, etc; but the risk of voiding the warranty is too much to bear sweat.gif

QUOTE(icechiller555 @ May 8 2011 @ 12:52 AM)

Hey guys, does anyone have this problem? At the back of the car in the boot there is the thing that we pull to cover the boot.  Mine keeps making a sound everytime I break even at low speeds.  Tried adjusting it but its fits snug.  Do you think that I need to get it changed.  Car is still brand new I can complain to my honda dealer.  Anyone with the same problem?

I have no sound from the boot cover upon breaking neither... i believe it's an isolated case, icechiller... luckily it's a new ride, so should be able to be fixed under warranty laugh.gif

Just wonder where to get it beside Honda Taiwan.  unsure.gif

I think you are referring to the Mudguard ya, SteadyPana? yeah, am interested in it too... it's one of the hardest part to clean... especially for white Insight unsure.gif

I asked the service people regarding the auto-lock thing yesterday, he tried to talk with his superior. His superior said recently they did try to use CR-V autolock manual to apply on insight but can't. anyhow, he said they're waiting the autolock manual of insight from Honda. when got it, they will give me a copy of it. I think i will go there again within 2 weeks from now coz need to send my gf insight for 1st service. I will ask them and keep you all inform if any updated.

We shall await for the good news from you, limbryan... thumbup.gif

only D mode, i try S mode also not much different

im always load 5 adult 2 child on my previous city & also current insight,
that y i have a hyundai starex 2.5 turbo diesel back up
starex up genting with full loaded (11 people) rpm only use 2k-3krpm, high torque in low rpm
really no car can beat him, 13km/L fuel comsumption
*
well, u still have L gear unutilised smile.gif Genting Highland is one of the steepest gradient you can get in Peninsular Malaysia... i think in this route, L gear can come handy?

QUOTE(watonk @ May 9 2011, 12:50 AM)
Yup. Having those really protect the paintjob around front fender/door and rear bumper. And somehow it makes the Insight rear look less 'hanging'.
Insight with oem thin modulo kit still pretty hanging imhe (in-my-humble-eyes).  shakehead.gif

That's so kewl, watonk!!!! So u bought the modulo kit?

hey westlife, u bought Beta package right? i wanna know more about the foot lighting... is it something that you can switch on/off or is it on all the time as long as your engine is on? and it's installed just at the driver & co-driver side is it? none at the rear passenger foot?

I coverted mine projected lamp to HID since second day i received my car. 4300k as shop told me JPJ compline. But i notice one is more yellowish. So better check it carefully
*
bro, gotta do some wiring to install HID right?
any wire cutting involved?
wanna do some mod to the car but very concerned it gonna spoil the warranty... especially since hybrid is still relatively new in the country... will really suffer if warranty get void

just came back from genting, with fully loaded 5 adult & 2 children
our insight in uphill middle torque not so good from 70km/h with 3k rpm then i press until 4k-5k rpm 71-72-73-74-75km/h  sad.gif
*
i also just got back from Genting... climbed uphill on D gear... mostly around 70kmph... but not up to 4k - 5k rpm lah...

but on way back so good... glided downhill on S and sometimes L gear (more L gear than S lah) and managed to get FC of 32 km/l wink.gif

Just wondering, which brand of Ron95 perform the best for Insight? I have never tried anything else other than shell..I heard from other thread that shell Ron95 not performing as well as other brands'?
*
after reading this thread, out of curiosity, i tried fueling up with PETRONAS Primax95 Xtra.
After fueling, the meter showed the car could last up to 900 km... hmmm, seemed like can go a bit further than Shell / Caltex. quite handy since heard in news that Ron95 may get to RM2.10/litre next month

walaweh.. not fair leh steadypana. i never got leaf from you before...

the beta package lighting are link together with your front light. if you start the car or open the door nothing will happen  unless you switch on the front light. the bad site of the lighting is on the passenger and driver side is a bit dim compare to the middle lighting. Problem is there is a light socket intact to our dashboard and when they put the light at the socket, i feel the height and the angle is somehow something wrong. Too high position and did not light the floor but more inside the dashboard.

anyway different people have different idea about it. mine, i am not satisfied with the OEM beta lighting..
*
oh, thanks for enlightening me, mardzi... i am a fan of blue lights biggrin.gif seemed like the foot light just perfect for me... but yeah, i want them to light up the foot, not the dashboard...

Total damage was RM1800 Brand: Michelin Primacy LC. The feeling for this tyre is total comfort and quiet though. Felt much much better than my stocked.

Besides they say I hit something on the road, the other reason they said was someone cutted my tyre. And they don't even keep stock on the tyres and need to book. I can't drive the temp. tyre on the raod, it's just too ugly and dangerous if another Dunlop tyre crack the hell out of me.

o my, goodbye Made In Japan tyres...
