What tyre pressure you guys running on your tyres?

So far only Mardzi, Orbclyne and me have this "problem", well, it might not be a problem, hopefully.

You guys can try, turn off the radio, air cond speed at the lowest, then you accelerate and see if you hear any grinding sound or not. I only notice this after my first service last week, hope its normal. I am not sure if its from the motor, but it sound like grinding or something spinning.

My ride now very comfortable, quiet and soft after reduce the pressure from 315kpa to 230kpa front and 220kpa rear, I suggest you guys to do the same if you don't mind sacrifice a little bit of FC and tyre wear. Running too high tyre pressure may cause your dashboard, door trims' clips looses which may result possible rattles in the near future.

Yes it was 315kpa front and 310kpa rear and I was shocked too. I think this may explain the superb FC and harsh ride for the past 2 weeks.

Maybe your dealer did that for you before delivery. I have to tell my SA to do the same for other insight.

I have searched the net and the grinding noise could be the CVT problem but most of them who has this grinding noise the noise is loud and very audible even radio is on.

I hope mine is not the CVT problem.

No la, tyre was another issue because my ride was really harsh, nothing to do with the grinding noise.

Actually the metal knocking/grinding noise can be heard when i start the engine in the morning, I think this is the same noise I hear when accelerating, the noise will go off when I let go the pedal. I hope this is normal but need more insight owners to test their cars to find out.

By the way, FC for second tank is 710km, just pumped RM64.00 petrol. 90% city 10% highway.

Added on April 19, 2011, 11:15 amAny speed as long as you press the accelerator pedal the noise will come on, and it will go off when let go the pedal.

I hope it is not CVT or any big problem because the noise is not really audible unless you pay full attention to it.

If no more sound should be OK. The car got 3 years warranty so it is OK.

I'll see what Honda say this Friday. hopefully it is OK.

For other insight owners, can you try turn off the radio and accelerate and see if there is any unusual noise?

Yes there is the blue indicator when cold, goes off when warmed up.

By the way, when idling, the so called metal knocking/grinding sound is off when air cond turn off. But it will comes on when accelerating. Tested the test drive unit in Kah Motor and Wegro and aslo another 2 customers cars, all also got the same sound. so I guess it is normal. The guys from SC said they wont notice if I dont bring this up and they think its the electric motor because the sound only comes on whenever the IMA indicator in assist mode.

I am looking for eibach lower springs and anti roll bar but not available in MY and SG.

Also, anyone know if Honda Jazz and City's wheel offset is same with Insight? Might be changing to OZ Ultraleggera, found a used set at good price.
