I am on the asrock camp too
but MSI immediate support here is truly impeccable
Couple with cost effectiveness, MSI really have become one of the brand to sought after

why I'm not getting a MSI mobo for a p67 build? Instead going for a FAT-boy?
Lets just say I am a hoarder, Just love the extra-storage capability IDE and 10 sata port plus a CCO

If a MSI have a p67 mobo with atleast CCO and IDE
I would immediate switch camp smile.gif

May I ask
Coolice as well as MSI-MY

what is the statute in providing stuff for reviewer
as shown by coolice, the mobo is disassembled at the chipset cooler
so when the manufacturer receive back the mobo, is there a thorough service before sending out to another reviewer or the mobo is then isolated in-house

oh ya
what about warranty status if to say take off the heat sink to replace the thermal pads?

Dear mcchin,
When we receive back the mainboard, we will only test whether it's still working or not. There won't be any service before sending out to another reviewer. And reviewer at Enthusiast Level, taken coolice as an example, we trust his way of doing things 100%. The only thing that we may consider is to whether allow them to MOD the board or not.

As for warranty status, we allow end-user to replace the thermalpaste/pads. Unofficially, MSI Malaysia actually encourage end-user to change better quality thermalpaste especially our Graphics Card. I believe you know why.

Interested in this board due to features and pricing. But how's durability and stability of MSI mobo now? I am talking 5-6 years of usage with no or light OC?
I only know years ago reliability has not been MSI strong point....

Dear EpsilonStar,
I'm afraid we are not the correct person to answer your question. I'll leave your question to the rest of the community here to answer, so that there's no BIAS involved. And worry not, we are very open to critics, be it good or bad. Anyone is welcome to share their point of view here. For good comments, we will maintain it for sure. For bad comments, we will take it as a valuable feedback for us to improve. Cheers.

Reliability issues have plagued MSI last time, but thankfully it's hell much more better now.
Want to know whether it is a recommended board or not?
just go to Hardware Questions and Answer to see for yourself, most recommend builds includes MSI P67A-GD55. And do take note that there is loads of people that bought this board already nod.gif

I, as a MSI mainboard user have no complains about it. The last problem I encountered was caused by human error, not the manufacturer's problem.

maybe its name is not that outstanding as asus or gigabyte, but after i have switch from asus mobo to msi brand, i do not feel the gap of performance or difficuties problems (maybe i'm just a basic user or slight oc user). now i'm using x58 xpower & so far so good. i feel like its much better than using r2e or ud7 previously.

If you check on all the posting made by MSI-MY, you will be able to see the degree of effort taken to address their mistake or reliability issue - very quick and effective. Very professional and she is not a 9 to 5 and off weekend person.

And compare that with other manufacturer thread here in LYN. My hope is MSI-MY will be here for at least 4 years by then my warranty would have expired! laugh.gif

FYI several Point-of-sales vendors and service techs told me that most POS system uses MSI made mobo, running in harsh & greasy environment like in fast food restaurant.
