Haha...if you grow up in KL, Canto is the way to go.  However, it seems there are a lot of Singaporean I knew speaks Cantonese especially in Bishan.  You can hear those aunties speaks Cantonese when ordering food.  How do you normally spend your weekend in JB?

Watch drama, play dota or come into SG find my aunty lor. And go back KL since i got car and can drive back anytime. hahaha.

Bishan area speak canto? not sure la but my aunty stay in Bishan and we speak canto (coz we are Malaysian). Even my uncle is a Singaporean and i speak canto with him coz used to it already since very young when i still in KL, we speak canto to each other. going out in SG is very expensive, and if we wanna go window shopping, SG shopping complex doesn't provide any bench for people to sit unlike Malaysia. So its not that comfortable as well.

anyone by any chance know anyone that can supply fuel and parts for ships?

1) Do you think it's jam on 11pm Friday at Causeway (or should i use 2nd link?)
2) Do i Need to pay ERP on Sat, Sunday and Monday (Public Holiday)?

Anybody is working / worked with Keppel Fels? or at least experienced with their employment process?

How long usually do they take to officially come out with an offer?

I was interviewed in mid of March..2 weeks aft the interview I did call them to check the status of my application and the HR personnel told me that they are very keen to hire me and currently (at that time) is seeking for approval from the management for my remuneration package and will inform me once approved.

After waited for another 2 weeks I've called them again and the same person told me that he haven't get the approval from the management and will update once received.

And now it's already end of Apr and I havent rcvd any update yet. I'm quite reluctant to call again as I hv called more than once which may give wrong impression to the employer - a desperate guy , but that's not the point.

The point is, is it normal for keppel (specifically) or singapore company (generally) to take such a long duration to come out with an official offer to a Malaysian?

Anybody have similar experience which can be shared here?

I don't know about india indians in singapore, but in my experience working with the indians in india in my MNC, their concept of exaggeration is way beyond what malaysians are capable of. They've got this ability to talk as if they have superhuman powers but in reality can't deliver. And in concalls if you let them dictate the meeting, it'll be hours of talking and end up with nothing at the end of it.

Of course I'm generalizing from my personal viewpoints, your mileage may vary.

More specifically, what are the restrictions and loss imposed by all sort of rules and regulations. I'm wondering if it is really worthy to dump big portion of income into loan, to get one private property for investment.
Indeed this is the first thing that pops up in my mind.

Did you do your EP application when you were already working? From what I've read it seems that I have to get a few documents from my employer first then only I can apply for it.

Is it preferable to work there first then get the EP?
