QUOTE(deodorant @ Jun 20 2011, 10:17 AM) what i mean is that for KL guys earning RM, it's very very normal to plonk down a 25-30 year loan to pay off an rm400k condo. so it's not any different from us earning SGD and buying an rm400k hdb with also a 25-30 year loan. oh, ok, got what you mean. so, for u, would u buy now or after 2013? |

QUOTE(ivanswk @ Jun 20 2011, 10:26 AM) my own strategy is to get the one with lowest COV, previously i was aiming all town area like tanjong pagar, bugis and china town, cause near to office, so i can go without a car, think think my strategy change cause the cov is so high i might as well get a car and have a bigger hdb further abit at jurong west / woodland haha, got it my vote goes to buy now, tomolo can be worse dun think gov will let the hdb price go down, they can always control the supply and demand and hdb valuation, just hope COV will go down |

QUOTE(Kenny4820 @ Jun 21 2011, 03:11 PM) Hi all forumers, I'm going to work in Singapore soon, I'm just wondering what will be the best sim card should i go for, postpaid or prepaid, which telco? since u are going for data more, i guess postpaid is the only choice u can go. Prepaid wise, the data plan is just too expensive.I would be using data for whatsapp and emails but I've checked and so far I could not find any prepaid plans that offer good value for both data and mobile phone. Postpaid wise, don't think I would wanna sign a contract yet? Is there any good plans whether prepaid or postpaid that is nice and recommended? |

QUOTE(jungyu @ Jun 22 2011, 08:22 PM) hi guys, can I still rent a hdb room during the 30 days after my spass expired? my current rent needs 1 month notice, and also I need time to pack. After 30 days, as long as u never move out from ur HDB, u still can rent the room. But if u wanna move out to other HDB, then most likely, it gonna be hard for u to rent as u dun have a working permit for the house owner. by the way, anyone knows any service that can shift tons of stuff back to malaysia, and cheap?? Bout the shifting ur items, are u from johor? |

My best advice, ignore him.if dun want to share i can accept,no need to con this and that Malaysian attitude. I ask humbly and friendly. U can even ignore me totally, what with the insecurity ? |

There is one big one at vivocity, not sure wat is the book store name. But i think it should have the books that u are searching for |

QUOTE(toda6866 @ Jul 4 2011, 09:10 AM) guys n gals, i have a BIG problem... My advice, dun sign it. Just resign, u will get 30 days stay, and from there u can extend another month. So in total, u got 2 months stay, and within tat 2 months, i am sure u can get a better job.it seems that the sg company hired me is exploiting foreigners, knowing we need a job, suddenly during confirmation ask me to sign a new contract... very strange terms that requires a person to work on wkends n if no work on wkends the hrs not clocked will be 'owed' to the company... its not my 1st job so nvr heard of such thing.... no epf paid n no transport claimable even though travel to work for the extra hrs... end up if u resign they can easily make u stay for another 1 mth or so due to the 'hrs' u 'owe' them... it has happened to others.... n i hav been warned by my colleagues BIG Question is, if i resign now, will i lose my EP n get deported back to Msia? If so, then mayb i should jz put my head down n sign the agreement after that quietly look for another job? wat would u do? negotiated for hrs edi but the boss insist the terms... |
