what i mean is that for KL guys earning RM, it's very very normal to plonk down a 25-30 year loan to pay off an rm400k condo. so it's not any different from us earning SGD and buying an rm400k hdb with also a 25-30 year loan.
*
oh, ok, got what you mean. so, for u, would u buy now or after 2013?

my own strategy is to get the one with lowest COV, previously i was aiming all town area like tanjong pagar, bugis and china town, cause near to office, so i can go without a car, think think my strategy change cause the cov is so high i might as well get a car and have a bigger hdb further abit at jurong west / woodland
my vote goes to buy now, tomolo can be worse

dun think gov will let the hdb price go down, they can always control the supply and demand and hdb valuation, just hope COV will go down

haha, got it biggrin.gif

Hi all forumers, I'm going to work in Singapore soon, I'm just wondering what will be the best sim card should i go for, postpaid or prepaid, which telco?

I would be using data for whatsapp and emails but I've checked and so far I could not find any prepaid plans that offer good value for both data and mobile phone. Postpaid wise, don't think I would wanna sign a contract yet? Is there any good plans whether prepaid or postpaid that is nice and recommended?
*
since u are going for data more, i guess postpaid is the only choice u can go. Prepaid wise, the data plan is just too expensive.

I am the person who get higher paid and uses more to upgrade my life as i deserve it. I dun want just because to save some money, i torture myself. Also, those money cannot bring to the grave with me.

Still, one must not overspend till there are no saving at all.

hi guys, can I still rent a hdb room during the 30 days after my spass expired? my current rent needs 1 month notice, and also I need time to pack.

by the way, anyone knows any service that can shift tons of stuff back to malaysia, and cheap??
*
After 30 days, as long as u never move out from ur HDB, u still can rent the room. But if u wanna move out to other HDB, then most likely, it gonna be hard for u to rent as u dun have a working permit for the house owner.

Bout the shifting ur items, are u from johor?

Leaving money behind when you die is a minor quibble. Having no money when you cannot die is the main issue.

ya true. tat is why the last sentence stated that, one must not overspend, there is always a limit which we can spend and which we must save.

no. these companies always tried EP for me if rejected then SPass, if both got rejected, they would just say sorry, chance of appeal being rejected is 100% i think. they dont wanna waste 3 weeks time waiting for me tongue.gif
*
why not try other company?

fren what with the personal attack ?
if dun want to share i can accept,no need to con this and that Malaysian attitude. I ask humbly and friendly.
U can even ignore me totally, what with the insecurity ?
*
Well, he is like that, since he got EP, he is kinda looking down those work permit holder and label them as rubbish. My best advice, ignore him.

Where is the largest bookstore in Singapore? I'm looking for specific profession related books but most bookstores are small and don't have what I want.

guys n gals, i have a BIG problem...

it seems that the sg company hired me is exploiting foreigners, knowing we need a job, suddenly during confirmation ask me to sign a new contract... very strange terms that requires a person to work on wkends n if no work on wkends the hrs not clocked will be 'owed' to the company... its not my 1st job so nvr heard of such thing.... no epf paid n no transport claimable even though travel to work for the extra hrs... end up if u resign they can easily make u stay for another 1 mth or so due to the 'hrs' u 'owe' them... it has happened to others.... n i hav been warned by my colleagues

BIG Question is, if i resign now, will i lose my EP n get deported back to Msia? If so, then mayb i should jz put my head down n sign the agreement after that quietly look for another job?

wat would u do? negotiated for hrs edi but the boss insist the terms...
*
My advice, dun sign it. Just resign, u will get 30 days stay, and from there u can extend another month. So in total, u got 2 months stay, and within tat 2 months, i am sure u can get a better job.
