Recently bought a Zuk Z1 and there is a Cyanogen Preview watermark on bottom right of screen. Is this a legit international set? If so, how to get the OTA update from it? I have manually click check for updates but it just said no updates available and there are a few more versions already after the current version of the device.

What is your version?

Currently on Cyanogen 12.1 YOG4PAP1CG. Will there be OTA update for it? Since it's a preview version. Not sure if it's the original Zuk CyanogenOS or it's a CyanogenMod. hmm.gif The software build is from Aug if not wrong.

Stock recovery is showing Cyanogen word on top one right? Is there anyway to check if my device has been rooted the unroot before and bootloader is unlocked? I tried to load the bootloader and the screen is showing a linux penguin icon in middle of screen. Is that a lock or unlock bootloader? hmm.gif

Command to check bootloader status: fastboot oem device-info

U need a PC to check that.

Tried it and it just stuck on waiting for device. adb devices can see the device though but not fastboot device. The screen shows a penguin icon which i think is linux logo? Is that the fastboot mode?

uhm... then could be your phone lack of drivers to detect in fastboot mode.
1. Go Google search for latest Universal Naked Driver / Samsung ADB Driver
2. Make sure you enable debug mode in developer settings, no sure how, google how to enable debug mode in developer setting
3. Try another USB port / USB Cable.

Penguin = fastboot mode? I'm not sure... each OEM show different icon. so that penguin could be fastboot mode.

It did have Android Composite ADB Interface under Android Devices in Device Manager. So the driver is installed, but the fastboot devices command still returns nothing and the oem command still shows waiting for devices doh.gif

Finally got it working. Apparently Zuk Z1 is a special case, it needs to add "-i 0x2b4c" after fastboot command to use it and my device returned:
(bootloader) Device tampered: false
(bootloader) Device unlocked: true
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false
(bootloader) Display panel:
OKAY [ 0.009s]
finished. total time: 0.010s

Means my bootloader is unlocked? What does the device tempered:false means?

No idea... anyway, have fun flashing stock rom smile.gif

Stock recovery unable to flash the rom. It always validate signature and fail. Need to flash TWRP recovery so that can bypass that validation. thumbup.gif
Thanks for your help. notworthy.gif
