imho...papago m9 has better updated map compare than sygic..poi search also easier in papago m9..if without data plan...ill suggest papago..but the problem is the gps locking will be very very slow...ill suggest better buy standalone GPS brand wayway or others...more reliable.... brows.gif  brows.gif

actually besides gps i also want to use this android phone as my 2nd phone lol. the gps locking...how slow is 'slow' if not using dataplan?
more than 5 min?

i dont know...depends on phone...sometimes it even not locking...some people suggest root and use gps fix to faster locking..but never test..on galaxy w...without data plan it tooks like forever to lock...maybe u can narrow down ur choice of phone...then ask in the respective phone thread for better response and user experience....

wah seriously ar. last time my friend just use nokia 5800 symbian 60 only but locking quite fast. i thought newer android phone will be better.haiz.

Depends on what your friends are using, if you are using whatsapp but your friends are using Line obviously you can't chat with them. But nowadays I notice most people use Whatsapp, the user base is quite big smile.gif

For calling, you might want to try Viber
*
ic. so need 2 separate apps eh. i noticed some got both messaging and calling function like kakao talk. thanks anyway.

No. There are some apps that can do both messaging and calls, if not mistaken LINE and Viber can do both.

i think most of my friends are using whatsapp but i need apps that can do both messaging and calling easier. maybe will try all and see which apps better.

Based on my understanding, ur phone does not hv this selection in the setting, which newer phone should have. So, u are trying to increase the space for apps installation, which version of Android does ur phone have? Are u looking for something like app2sd?
*
nope. actually i tried to change the default storage settings using this method which no rooting needed by using official android sdk manager. need to use pc and some command prompt involved.

instead of learning this thing, I would suggest u use the time to learn for rooting, it is nothing harm when root the phone, just make sure u do some detail study before that. after root, u will hv more control to ur phone.

My 2 previous android phone is rooted after about half year of usage. Now I am learning the rooting for my third phone.
*
well since the earlier method was not successful rooting is my only option now. actually i already know how to root (eventho not trying the real thing yet lol) but from my research i kinda hv a clear view how to do it. my only concern now is i wanna know if i root and unroot back the phone will there be any problems if i want to claim my warranty later. will they know the phone has been rooted before.
