Wanna ask. Why when i transfer the apps from my phone to SD card the size of the file changes from 20+ MB to <1 MB? So what is actually transferred to the card? If i take out the card and plug it into another phone that means I can use the apps in the card although its transferred there?

Also what is a recovery?? Can I use any recovery for any ROMs? Or there are specific recovery for specific ROMs? This post has been edited by Dan Peng: Mar 29 2012, 06:44 PM |

QUOTE(Dannyl @ Mar 30 2012, 01:18 PM) 20+MB is the bulk of the app size, the files being moved to SD card means only left <1MB of files in your phone memory. You cannot use the app by changing SD card, you need to install the app. If you want to transfer the installation file to someone else (maybe they don't have net access), copy out the APK from phone/data/app (you need root privilege to access the phone memory). I see. So that means. Only root access allows me to transfer APKs?Recovery is a part of the bootup (before launching the OS) for you do to things like format phone, flash ROM, etc. Think of it as the BIOS of a PC. Some ROMs have requirements such as EXT4 support, so you need to use certain recovery which supports EXT4. Added on April 2, 2012, 12:20 pm QUOTE(extremepower @ Mar 31 2012, 09:28 PM) Anyone got duplicate contact issues while syncing between android samsung and outlook using kies? I also have duplicates from Whatsapp. But luckily mine is only<20 but after deleting them they come back. So annoying. How to permanently remove them?I got 800 contacts. Very painful to remove one at a time. This post has been edited by Dan Peng: Apr 2 2012, 12:20 PM |

Are overclocking and undervolting opposites? Or there's such a thing as underclocking and overvolting.
So, if i underclock my device means i'm actually undervolting? |

QUOTE(shirley_andy @ Apr 11 2012, 12:59 AM) QUOTE(Dannyl @ Apr 11 2012, 12:24 PM) Charge as often and as much as you like regardless of whether it's half or empty. Emptying the battery will weaken it. Anyway, what do you mean by emptyin the battery. You mean drain the battery until 0 when the phone shuts itself down? How does it weakens. I've never heard of such a thing. |
