Hi,

Can all give me some comments, i received 3 type of Platinum card from Maybank. Which is Maybankard 2, Petronas and Amex Black. Why their issue too many card same time, just fill up upgrade card only.. ? And will i get any Tax charge, since i'm not going to activate it.

BTW, i'm mostly use in oversea, which card better, don't think the maybankard2 will benefit me. And that Maybank2 card consider Platinum or gold, look classless wherever with platinum words =_=ll and I select from platinum card range not listed. And 5X point how to work it at oversea? Is it like USD100 X3 X5 point?

Currently i'm holding petronas since their didn't charge any annual fees to my account, if change the other, scary have to pay for it.

Please advise me which card i should keep.

Correct Platinum but look not class. ><~ BTW, is there any annual fees should pay for it? And maybank2 is it come with Personal concierge services, member of Visa Platinum Club ? Hopefully not like UOB 1 Plat, consider gold card. Make me change again to prefer plat.. waste time !!

Thanks replied. I will change it to Maybankard 2 instead of petronas. Noted that im prefer platinum-level service and worldwide recognition. I thinks this card not entitle right? Base on their website provided detail. Compare with Maybank Visa Platinum & Visa Petronas & Maybankard 2.

Like Miles said, cancel the MBB Petronas, no point having it since got Maybankard 2 Visa.

If i didn't activate card and return back to them, will any Tax charge?

Maybankard 2 Visa. If not mistaken, winner have posted before SCB bank rate very high. Amex charges 2.5% but with 5X maybe will break even.

Just to add. there are three main difference between Maybank Platinum Visa/MasterCard vs Maybankard 2 Platinum Amex, Visa and MAsterCard.

1. Maybank Platinum Credit Cards Annual Income Requirement RM120K, twice that of Maybankard 2 cards.
2. Maybank Platinum Visa/MC grant you access to MBB Private Banking Centres. Maybankard 2 Platinum don't.
3. Maybank Platinum Visa/MC gives you 2X points for overseas but Maybankard 2 Visa/MC 1X.
4. I got to go check the Travel Insurance Amount to see if they are the same.

Just to compare with Petronas and maybakard 2, except private banking, any other BIG difference? Such as airport lounge.. etc

And to add, there is one very big difference between having the Platinum printed on the Maybankard 2 Amex. Without it, you cannot enter Gardens Premier Toilet for free and got to pay RM5, hahahaha

Collected my M2card from their private banking, curiously this card able to use their private banking or not? i ask them yes, and CS tell me don't go standart banking since i have this card, but today have forumer said not. BTW, why their sent Petronas together. Same time, same date. M2 card collect from Private banking, Petronas post via FEDEX to my doorstep. I guess M2 card more valuer then Petronas Plat card.

Nope, i use previous M2U access. Nothing need to apply, both card listed. =)

But if working at oversea, how to check salary ? Or now call every bank increase CL after that report higher salary ? If current CL less than 2X time off your salary, will it be increase according to new rule ^^ ?

Just call up to MBB check my income info i provided N years ago.. That's only 24k per year.. But my current income about 5k above, will them straight away limit my card to two card or income document updated need? And this income info will it share to other bank?
My case, last year upgrade my card to Platinum using payslip SGD 3200 but the bank record still remain income at 24k group. Can anyone explain this scenario? System not auto updated ? Or ....
