I was in Econsave just now.
Since I've got free talktime minutes, without thinking much, I called up OCBC CS and asked whether this Econsave outlet in particular got 5% cashback or not. He put me on hold for about 15 seconds and came back to me giving affirmative answer.

What I want to say is, CS can search a particular merchant and verify if OCBC Titanium offers 5% cashback for matching certain MCC codes specified by the bank. So next time when you are not sure your purchase entitled to 1% or 5% cashback, you may ask CS, but no guaranteed answer.

Giant Kinrara and Puteri - 5%
Jusco IOI - 1%
Tesco Puchong - 5%
Carrefour Puchong - 5%
Esso/Mobil IOI -5% (I pump at Petronas)

AMEX is accepted in all the above merchant outlets.

Maybe I will work with the thread starter to update the 5% OCBC list.

You can always buy vouchers form Jusco or Isetan

Unlimited free IBG is only for Premier and Advance accounts.

Personally, I opened a OCBC iQ Basic account which provides 5 FREE IBG transactions per month
Maintain account balance of  RM500 per month to avoid RM10 monthly charge.

HSBC rate low lah.

Asa Hye and Gen-X said, the interest given to HSBC accounts is very low. The other account that offers free IBG is AmBank Amstar Extreme. Interest is very high too especially for a current account.

1- Applied via fax on the 21st of Feb. Got call from them after 3 hours for confirmation and request to re-fax one of my documents which was not clear.

2- I called the CS on the 27th to check on my status and was notified that its still under process and I'll know in 5 working days if my application was successful. 

3- Got an SMS on the 3rd of March confirming that my application was successful and upon checking on M2U, the CC account has been merged in my M2U account. 

4- 8th of March - RECEIVED both the AMEX & VISA cards.

BTW, if I remember correctly, Wawasan Sentosa's rate for NT$ was 10.75 on 27/2/2011 and 10.70 on 3/3/2011 when I did check. It is 10.67 as of today (9/3/2011). US$ and NT$ seemed to be going down during my travel period. Anyway, I exchanged RM for US$ currency notes in Malaysia (at 3.040 on 27/2/2011 (3.030 today)) and then changed US$ for NT$ currency notes at Taoyuan airport to get a better rate, even after the NT$30 commission.

My experience with GSC is, the person SOMETIMES (like 1 out of 10 times) will ask for my credit card. When I am not in the mood to speak much, I will just present my card. Most of the time, I will just say forget to bring/dont know need to present/rushing for movie/already have code and get the ticket.

Which Citibank card sends sms notification for online transactions? I have previously used PremierMiles, CashBack Plat, Shell and Giant for online transaction but never received any sms notification.
