I've heard that applying wax on windscreen will cause the wiper to judder.
So, what about the side windows ?
Sorry, if my question sounds silly

to clean the windscreen, just get those auto glass cleaner will do. If you want something like a layer of anti water resistance then get products like rainx and apply. Do bear in mind that applying rainx means you will need to constantly apply like every month to maintain the effects. As for the judder, apparently applying rainx or similar product will reduce judder. That is according to the response I posted previously about my jittering wiper.

Car polish on windscreen?
Car polish iianm has actually minute particles which scrubs and remove a layer of paint. So its definitely a no-no for windscreens. This post has been edited by max_cjs0101: Apr 6 2011, 02:34 PM |

Maybe a silly question...
I know wipers in use would probably already cause a fair bit of friction, but is there a long-term RainX-like treatment for the windscreen, the way PPS is like a long-term polish job on the car body? |

^Nope, there's no such products... Even if you apply rain-X, it may tend to stick some dust. It is the nature of the oil that cause this.....
Some even use Autosol for this. The cheapest and fastest way is, spray WD-40 on your soon-to-throw wiper, it can help on improving the wiping... |

The white layer really reduces the visibility a lot especially at night when there is on-coming car.my actual problem is the windscreen will have sort of a white layer after the wiper wipes. it will take a while to go off. sometimes makes the view blur. can rainx prevent this ? thanx for your input I tried to change the wiper twice already but problem still persist. I want to try to sandpaper it but scare will scratch the windscreen and damage the windscreen further |
