Hi, guys. Where usually will you all go for study?
I found that central library is a little noisy especially there are crowds.
How were the other libraries of each faculty in UM?

QUOTE(cipollll @ Aug 19 2016, 09:08 PM) are you sure it is noisy? Have you explored every floor? There are floor which requires user to be dead silent. I have tried ground floor and first floor during lunch hours so far...Each time when I go, there is someone talking to his phone out loud, or discussing something and I can really hear their conversations. Perhaps it's my bad luck... Btw, what about after 7pm? Is it really closed at 7pm? |

QUOTE(cipollll @ Aug 19 2016, 11:43 PM) Don't think it is closed at 7pm. I'm not sure about the timing but i know it is closed later than 7pm in the night. Usually written at the entrance door. Will try to do so.On study week, they even had the library opened till midnight. Try go up the floor even more and you'll find zones which require user to be dead silent, you'll be fine there. So far I found medical library opens till 10.30pm on weekdays. I'm not staying in the campus. The place that I could park my car is damn far and the road to medical faculty is too quiet (as you know medical faculty is on top of a hill)... |

QUOTE(kilofi @ Sep 6 2016, 07:42 PM) Hi, i'm first year student here. Can i ask where can i park my car without a sticker?Preferably near Kolej Kediaman Kedua. I usually park at Exam Hall car park, sometimes monkey hill and Building T (near electrical engineering faculty).I think there are spaces for parking in front of the 2nd college entrance gate if you are lucky enough. I don't think the university patrol will check if you have sticker (trust me, they don't bother as long as you don't create traffic problem, don't park at someone's allocated parking lot and no one has made any complaints. They might only stop you when you enter from certain gates, e.g. INTAN gate and sometimes pj/kl gate during weekend if you don't have the sticker). But you do have to bear the risk of your car being clamped especially when you park at the roadside. My advice is, just get a sticker. It saves you from worries and troubles. All you have to do is to apply online, get your documents ready and pay the RM3 (cheap rite?) at 12th college during office hours. |

QUOTE(kilofi @ Sep 7 2016, 07:35 PM) Alright thanks for the information I'm not an undergraduate student, so I'm unaware of this rule existed. It was never stated in the rules of application. If I were you, I'd still try applying. (It's at the MyUM portal. Unless you couldn't access the site with your student login...) |

QUOTE(crazywing26 @ Sep 7 2016, 09:33 PM) I thought you can apply sticker when you are third year? It doesn't work. You can't use someone else's name to apply sticker for your car unless you are using other's name to apply for his car (but if then who would lend you the sticker? One person can only apply one sticker.)Well anyway, you can use your senior's name to apply sticker for you, although you need to bring some documents and it could be a little troublesome The car has to be registered under your name (preferably), if not, you will need a letter from your parents whom either of them is the owner of the car. |
