Anyone currently taking / had taken Bachelor of Computer Science especially in:

- Computer Networking and System (CNS)
- Management Information System (MIS)

over there?

Have some questions to ask.

Hi,

I would like to know more on the Degree in MIS course at UM and I have some questions to ask too..

- I saw on the MIS program overview, and i saw that "candidates will be conferred with Bachelor of Information Technology degree".
Do you grad as an IT or CS? Cause i see on the list of faculties, that its under Bachelor of Computer Science .

- Does UM like offer any kinds of recognised certificate for that course within UM itself? Or do you have to take it somewhere else?
- Is there a lot of students taking that course? Mostly are?
- Is there like differences between ISE with MIS (Management Information System)?
- In general, is the course demanded outside nowadays, for getting a job later?

Thanks.

Yes, since it's free plus full training provided.

*
So, your saying um offer some certificate classes over there as well? Full training as if? Free for?

Hi Chazmonster,

I'm one of the FSKTM graduate major in System & Networking. My definition of good is :

1. Lecturers with not just good but extreme network knowledge.
2. Hands on experience with networking devices (Cisco).
3. CCNA academy curriculum.
3. Employment market - regard highly by companies.

but, if programming running in your vein SE is better choice. There's no much network programming teach in FSKTM.

For me, one thing i regret is the lack of Unix/ Linux in term of materials & lecturers. Sure there a loads of articles and tutorials available in the net, but if i can have one particular lecturer to teach me the art of Unix it would be much healthy.

so your saying, that course doesn't involve a lot of programming, correct?
is there other CS course @ UM that is similar to it?..MIS?

i know SE has a lot of programming stuffs + i'm not that really into programming a lot..

thanks
