Hey guys,
I'm currently considering to further my studies (Master of Econs) a few years after graduating from degree in Finance, mainly to satisfy my own interest in economics, politics, public policies, etc. and also to pave the way if I decided to go deep into Economics research (PhD) some day. However, due to money constrains, I will only be able to commit myself to a part-time program.
Just called UM this morning and have confirmed that their classes are conducted at 6PM for weekdays so it seems viable to be completed on a part-time basis. Reason for posting here is that I hope to get a bit more pointers/information on UM as well as the course itself, e.g. course quality, uni's responsiveness, flexibility of the class hours & attendance, etc.
Also, I've found out that the classes are conducted online for now, but since the coming intake only starts next year it's hard to tell if the COVID cases will go down by then (hence, resuming to physical classes). My working hours is until 5.45PM, so I doubt I can ever show up on time if indeed the classes start at 6PM. Any alumni or current students can confirm if the conductor/uni will be strict in this matter?
Thank you

QUOTE(Lyanae @ Oct 8 2020, 03:24 PM) I was taking evening classes at the same faculty. Since most of the master students are working students, there are many students that will come later than 6pm. The lecturers won't penalized you. During mid-term test day, usually they starts the exam at 6.30pm or later. Hey thanks for the great info! Btw, would you be familiar with the normal number of units to take for part-timers? Coz there are like 10 units and I'm trying to estimate how long of an investment will this be Thank you

QUOTE(Oklahoma @ Jan 12 2021, 09:55 AM) good. hmm do you plan to accept? Im scared with the covid-19 situation and MCO, might affect timetable or studies. Already clicked accept haha. I prefer they conduct online or weekend actually.. So don't need to jam all the way to uni lol. Just that the medical checkup thingy is abit concerning considering the cases are pretty serious nowadays..

Yo guys, I'm having the first lecture tomorrow. However, can't seem to find out how will the lecture be conducted lol. Emailed the lecturer but no reply..
From your experience, will the lecturers upload the video on spectrum, or will they do live video meeting? If they are doing it live, how will I get the access link? Are laptops needed or phones will do? Thank you for your time
