QUOTE(OMG! @ Apr 9 2011, 11:42 AM) aiming for master graduation lol to me convocation is crappy. you go and prepare yourself for 3 hours. stand for 5 hours. and only 1 second they mention your name then your fame is gone. whats the point lah? |

Er? I don't think can borrow one leh? Only the time when you graduate you can borrow.
I took mine already 2 years before I graduate My sis graduate in 2009. My bro 2010. Me 2011. So on my sis graduation in 2009, me and my brother borrow senior's robe and we went and took family photo with 3 graduates... cause 3 also from UM so done in one shot. save space in the house and save money as well. save my parent energy to purposely go there wait for the whole day for that 1 second... of their childs name to be announce on the bloody speaker. |

Yeap. you can get one earlier... during the release of the robe. they will notify us with letters
once you get it, go snap with your family directly. dont wait after graduation only snap cause after that, all photo studio will be full with graduates. |

QUOTE(redscorpion @ Apr 10 2011, 09:38 AM) Owh great. I've been wondering where's ur faculty eh? We're located in KPS... Blok G or F ... Behind Perdanasiswa only ~ And the dancing classes, is it under the same faculty as urs? Can share with us some of the syllabus in ur course? Thanks We don't have a proper faculty, even KPS is a borrowed place only... Dance student is not with us. They're outside of UM if im not mistaken. They have bus to bring them there every morning... Our syllabus is.... Compulsory university courses, same like others courses. Directing Acting Script Writing Management in Arts Set and Props - divided to two stage. Where stage 1 you learn to build models. Stage 2 you build real stages.... Illustration in Theatre - This is where we learn to do photoshop, flash, and illustrator. Play production Dramatic Movement Puppet Theatre Practice Video Production Advanced Vocal Arts Career Asian Theatre Overview Western Theatre Improvisation Movement Voice & Speech Analysis of Costume & Stage Make-Up - Very interesting course for ladys And a lot of elective course that you can choose from Dance faculty / Music faculty. I took both music anyway. I got an A for my Music Appreciation. But in real life, I know nuts bout music. Just study hard, everything will come easy. |

QUOTE(redscorpion @ Apr 10 2011, 05:21 PM) @ [PF] T.J. : lol so true. the juniors all think they can just relax because its still early. later on if they have to extend then only they will know the pain lol. btw, you know which studio has the exact gown? I do my internship in Dua Space Dance Theatre. Didn't get to meet with celebrities... But those people I work with do appear on television once in a while. @ hidzwan : welcome! which batch were u from eh? 2006/07? which college did u stay during ur 1st year? @ AnnaHui : wow the subjects sound interesting. so where did u do ur internship? did u get to work with any celebrities? Some already appear in Finding Angels NTV7 ~ |

QUOTE(redscorpion @ Apr 11 2011, 10:22 AM) owh the same batch with izzul right. he was my room mate last time. err no i was from 10th college. what are you doing now? working where? About this, you cant. Because all internship have to go through / liaise with CITRA in KPS. They will fix for you which company with what scope to go for...okay im not sure where's that. so what did u do during ur internship? did u like participate in drama or movie filming? and i was wondering, do these companies accept internship of students from not related disciplines? maybe there are juniors out there who would like to gain some experience in this area but they are not in the related disciplines. Basically performing outs is only for performing art student unless you're a marketing student. Maybe you can propose for CITRA that you're doing marketing internship under this performing arts company. But again, based on my experience, performing arts in Malaysia have been trying very hard , i mean very very hard to grow... But again, based on today economy's, how many people would pay extra like. RM60 per adult tickets to watch a theater? Generally, most of them will answer you "Wah, i can go cinema 6 times leh"... So... uhm...you get what I'm trying to say? |

QUOTE(Ballard @ Apr 12 2011, 09:26 AM) Any update on the mechanical engineering degree course? The impression I got from previous threads is that it was having some problems/ wasn't so good generally. Have things changed, for better or worse? actually all courses in local uni sure got pro and cons. its depend on how to evaluate them and look at them. bear in mind, ntg is perfect in the world. same goes to the lecturer / facilities and so on... but if you're good, no matter where you go, you'll be good |
