Tested second unit of Asus Transformer. It's better than my friend's unit (first 150 launched last week).

More stable, apps market smooth downloads, and the best part for me is Zinio on transformer! biggrin.gif

HTC Flyer's competitor?
Asus is showcasing a 3D version of its Eee Pad MeMO sporting a glasses-free 3D IPS screen, a stylus and Google's Honeycomb OS.

Guys, after playing around with the original 7inch galaxy tab and transformer,... i'm leaning towards the 7-inch device due to it's size. Would it be considered outdated to buy one?

Toshiba Thrive is available for pre-order in Toshiba Direct website: http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/tablet.to

of course, they ship to US address only...

user posted image

there are also a wide range of accessories available, such as docks, back plate, etc...

each backplate sets u back for US$20, and a capacitative stylus costs US$15 (a far cry from Flyer's US$80 stylus)

Pricier than Transformer. Hopefully Toshiba will provide better support this time

ohh la la, this one looks yummy...

the Samsung Galaxy Tab Seven (aka Galaxy Tab 2) is slated for a Fall launch...

Exynos 1.2 GHz dual-core processor drool.gif
1GB RAM, 2GB ROM
16GB of internal memory
Micro SD slot
Tab proprietary connector with USB Host capabilities (via adapter)
7 inch WSVGA IPS display
Ability to call, video call and send SMS messages

last but not least... Gin-Gin-Gin-GINGERBREAD (Android 2.3.4)!  rclxm9.gif with TouchWiz 4.0...

pretty outdated rit? sweat.gif but here's the speculated reason for that... Ice cream Sandwich and monitor...

ICS is more or less confirmed to be released in Winter (late Nov/early Dec), and that's going to be a major release which combines the GB and HC into 1, so with such a late launch date, it probably makes more sense to wait for update to ICS instead of putting HC into it, and customize the crap out of it with TouchWiz 4.0 (aka blown up Galaxy S II)... also the small monitor makes it a little cluttered to ve HC on it...

The main weakness is honeycomb expensive than ipad 2

First, ipad 2 is more expensive... second... once you buy ipad2,... Apple will grab your b*lls and your are under their control.

IMHO, I wont pay that amount and get controlled, eventhough the interface is sleek and smooth. whistling.gif

Ice Cream Sandwich is old news... we all knew abt it when Gingerbread was released...

besides, Google is committed to 1 major release per year after FroYo, so that makes Ice Cream Sandwich logical (1 yr after Gingerbread)

Honeycomb is merely a stop gap product to revamp the design of Android UI to make it tablet friendly, as Galaxy Tab has proven that using FroYo on a tablet is pretty much a fail...

Meaning to say...
1) Whatever version starting with 2.x is for mobile phones?
2) Whatever version starting with 3.x is for tablet PCs?

So the version would be 2.4? and not 3.x ?
