This kind of shot, better for you to overexpose it rather than underexp it! Coz it looks sooo dull, some increment in the exposure and tweak at the saturation, should b good to go

Demb if you got a low ceiling up, flip ur demb more backwards, u will get very nice and soft light on ur subject

I mean when you shoot, u need to get the exposure right first, I don think ur camera metering gives this kind of exposure?

I juz got myself a Samsung 22"Full HD LED for 470 at PC fair, lol... dare not take the 23" scared too big for my room space, later will get headache.....

See wat kind of shooter your friend is, if it's juz casual family and frens, not investing much in lens n stuff, grab the D5100, if long term, I will take the D90 and upgrade in future. More control of your camera.

Last time I shoot raw, now I shoot Jpeg, lol... lazy to edit, unless special occasion/travel

It's a torture for me to have a camera but no wide angle!! I felt like dying when I go trip n surviving on 35mmX1.5=52.5mm =.=

For me I better own a wide angle n borrow primes,hahaa...but I don't borrow lens, later lens suddenly die, dunno how 2 ganti No warranty lagi worst

Normal kit lens will do you good enuf, Food don't need aperture like f/1.8

I prefer more saturated landscape like these
