aiyoyo ...my point is ... if you are struggle about 50mm f/1.8D and 35mm f/1.8G
if you use 50mm f/1.8D on D3100 or D5100/5000 then you had to manual focus since there is no auto-focus on that lens and body....

if you use 35mm f/1.8G lens (newer lens) then no need worry use what body haha.

Hi guys, I have just started photography as a new hobby. The camera that my friend reconmend for me is the Nikon D700, bought it and very happy with it. The lens it came with is the 18-105 lens with only 0.45m minimum focus length.

Sometimes I got frustrated of unable to take close pictures. I am thinking of getting a macro lens. I am still new to this hobby so I dont know much about the lens brand and stuff. Can you pros suggest me which lens should I get? Thanks!
