These few nights, the stretch marks got so itchy !
I've apply the Palmer's Cocoa Butter Cream every time after I bath.
I'm going to deliver in like 2 - 3 weeks time.

Any idea what product can reduce the itchiness and the scars ?

I had the same problem...with itches all over. doctor prescribed me some lotion..and i also used calamine lotion to ease the itchiness. There were few times that I couldn't tahan the itchiness that i bathe in the middle of the night..in cold water.

I think it's pretty normal for some pregnant women to go thru this. I know i went thru..and there's stretch marks left behind. I used cream and all sorts but it doesn't go away..after nearly 2 years..i actually accepted that these stretch marks wont never go away (though it may fade).

I do envy those who doesn't have much stretch marks on their tummy.

Hahaha.. I soooo can relate.. there was this one time, when I was pregnant, and I got sooo itchy.. Used all sorts of lotion, but still no good.. I ended up going to the doctor's almost crying asking to give me something for the itch.. Turns out it was some allergic reaction to something -- can't recall exactly.. I was prescribed some pills and all was well wink.gif

For the itches, my wife's doctor gave her some anti-itch medicine and also some sedatives, which supposedly knocks her out for the night so good-bye scratchy hands rclxub.gif ...as for the stretch marks hmph, my wife goes to a beauty salon which treats her to a weekly treatment for 14 months (I'm not making this up) which I have to say does make a difference... but I'm not even going to mention the cost... serves me right though for commenting that the lines (caused then by our firstborn) resembled the london underground map doh.gif ...anyone can recommend an over-the-counter cheap alternative?

U can try Fruit & Vegetable Rinse from Sunrider.. it is made of natural ingredients and u can get it anywhere from the Sunrider branches.. I know it sounds weird.. but I'm using it on and off for any itchiness all over my body (except private parts).. cos its for external usage only.. it costs around rm23 ++.. u may give it a try cos its inexpensive.. you can use it to clean ur veges & fruits as well.. besides, it even removes corns (the stubborn thingy that grows on foot, hand, etc).. and also mosquitoes bites... its a very useful thingy that I keep it in my handbag all day long smile.gif well I'm not too sure if it could help but u can give it a try ya smile.gif since its made of natural ingredients.. good luck!

Added on April 5, 2011, 3:55 pmOh btw, even when u are injured u can apply on your injury and you will be suprised how your injury recovers smile.gif

My dear, your hubby has my deepest respect and admiration... even after four kids, I am still learning to keep my big yappity mouth shut when it comes to the sacrifices the mother (my darling wife) makes for the children... 'still' being the operative there... actually, I don't even care about the stretch marks on her, I just let my big mouth slip that once (okay, it wasn't once... more like 7-8 times... but I was only teasing her in a funny, loving way... nothing malicious at all!)

...but mothers, please remember us hubbies don't really care about the stretch marks... (insert usual line here)... If we could suffer it for you, we would smile.gif

Sometimes those marks is good to remind hubby about our sacrifices to deliver the children who follow their surname instead of the mother's surname. smile.gif

Wishing that grinner's wife see his remarks. tongue.gif

Oh yes, moms to be, try the simple yet cheap olive oil? I used that on my first pregnancy, and strecth mark free.

2nd pregnancy, no such luxury (somebody complains about the oily shirt that is hard to wash)...., so end up with some. sad.gif

Stretch Marks?????? Luckly i have a VERY GOOD product form "Amway" name's by ALLANO (Hand & Body Lotion). It's cost about RM 40++ i think. It's very works for me, during im having first baby start from 3 months, i start apply the lotion everyday. Before sleep must apply the lotion. No more "katal" and stretch marks oh...... rclxm9.gif
For my suggest, if already have the stretch marks, u also can start apply this lotion for anti intchi and reduce the marks also loh.

After deliver baby, need to apply this lotion for reduce again. thumbup.gif

I dun think it can help with the strecth marks now, but can help with the itchiness.

The itchiness usually is because our skin is too dry after being strecth, imagine, our waist from 25" being strecth to almost 1 meter (or more), so whenever feeling itchy, just apply the oil and rub, DUN scratch, as it will make it worse.
