nope...AFAIK there is no way to downgrade your baseband after upgrade...correct me if im wrong

ok u jb-ed b4 but did u click "make my life easier" for the the first time u load cydia?if yes then u should have ur 4.3.1 shsh saved..and FYI UPGRADE=RESTORE which means u MUST restore to upgrade..u get what i mean? and yes it will all be back to square one but u can always restore ur back up after u done with all upgrade

nope..she for sure will get error...she only can restore to 4.3.2 since now apple only approve 4.3.2 ios signature

bro u should have waited til it finish loading and flashing....coz it will take sometime depends on capasity n always make sure to check on batery level b4 factory reset...now u try to connect ur iphone to itunes and see....hope it will boot if not then restore is needed

bro if ur set is official unlock set (which is maxis/digi/SG set) means activated set u can always jailbreak using "JAILBREAKME.COM"
what u need to do is restore to 3.1.3 but make sure u have ur SHSH saved and activate tinyumbrella server b4 restoring using itunes then after finish restoring stop the tinyumbrella server then put ur sim card inside ur iphone(if u still have not put in) then plug in usb and wait for itunes to verify ur phone then its activate.after activated then go to ur safari browser and key in the address bar jailbreakme.com then from there just follow the on screen instruction...
p/s make sure u r on wifi for faster process

the easiest way for DFU is:
i)plug usb cable make sure its connected with laptop and iphone
ii)open up ur laptop volume to max
iii)press and hold HOME + POWER OFF
iv)when u hear a system sound from ur laptop RELEASE POWER BUTTON BUT HANG ON HOME BUTTON
v)there should be a second system sound be heard then ur will be on DFU...

ok then ur set is a locked set.what u can do now is try google for custom 4.2.1 ios to prevent from ur baseband be upgraded for unlock.and dont worry about the activation part if u are using custom ios coz its hactivated..good luck

erm did u use tiny umbrella server to restore?

but u can restore without any problem coz i just helped my friend restore+jb her ip4 just now..did u changed the "host" file b4?

yup can it will be downloaded to ur pc...it will be located @C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR-USER-NAME\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates\

p/s make sure u view all including hidden folders coz its located at app data(hidden) folder

what it means is the "host" file thats located @ C:windows/system32/drivers/etc
there is a file called host in there and rename it to .txt so that u can alter the last line where "gs.apple.com" were located..but make sure to rename back to host(without the ".txt") then only u run restore

yes can but make sure u have a copy of the 4.3.1 ipsw b4 u proceed for jailbreak.for the ipsw u can google it and make sure u download the correct version if not it would not work

try to download the ipsw separately since u have a magnificent connection..just google it

it means u doesnt have 4.2.1 shsh due to the closure of the signature signing by apple
