QUOTE(ieR @ Apr 5 2011, 10:26 PM) during the convention, we tested the 70200 HSM (sigma) and when test the 70200G, the speed of the SSM is farrrrrrrrrrr more faster then HSM, it made HSM seem so slow. and due to the sigma's quality sharpness only start at F4 (shoot an event with it, F2.8 is crap) i rather go for tamron even it's claimed slow(website review usually gotten canon/nikon test unit, which has lousy built in motor), but sony's A mount uses screw driven, and newer body somehow focuses faster (some friend claim the beercan runs faster on A55/580 vs older body) 70-200 HSM slow meh? I thought you were testing the focus speed of the lens on A580 and A55 body? which resulted A55 being significantly more faster!!! (Poison!!) About the sharpness, most of my indoor photos was taken at ISO1600 @F2.8, but still look sharp ler.....<--(I'm not Sigma fenbui ah....!). May be I got the better unit.

QUOTE(yuhi @ Apr 6 2011, 06:40 PM) Shootkk: I'm immune to lens poison but I kena poison badly by cameras which are not even released yet. A77 and A99... Hahaha!!! Added on April 6, 2011, 5:43 pmAccording to reviews, Sigma is sharp wide open from 80 to 135mm, after that it softens pretty badly d... Especially at 200mm. Maybe you can take some test pics and share it with us Don't trust reviews. Reviews are for guidance only...test yourself lor Btw, I never post pic here but only sharing in FB. Perhaps you can view my FB page...

QUOTE(ieR @ Apr 6 2011, 09:16 PM) Joe, its so obviously slower then Ssm, and like what yuhi said, after 100mm it became soft, at f4 then only acceptable, what's the diff spending in beercan f4? but my justification is weak coz I using C-zai to shoot during my experience with the sigma.... Without IS/VC is very bad idea even I have a steady hand! Wei.....u got steady hand wor, can shoot 1/15s without tripod & IS/VC leh....justify, justify
