I would love to learn how to swim. I live in Wangsa Maju, KL. I was thinking if I can find any personal swimming instructor which will teach at my place. I would like to have a 1-on-1 basis lessons. Does anyone know where to find such instructor? And what is the price range?

Some ex-swimmers available for coaching that I know of.
U need to hv ur own pool if u want 1 to 1, but if ur pool is like 4ft, then u will only know to swim in 4ft water only. Will cost u abt RM 1.0-1.5K for 10 lessons if u want the coach to come for the 1 hr lesson.

It is better to learn in proper 50m deep pools and join a group. When I was coaching, if my swimmer cant swim 50m across the deep end, that means they can drown when alone in the pool.

RM 30/hr plus transport?
Of course, u pay what u get. If u want quality ex-swimmers like Cindy Ong/ Allan Ong (ex-Olympians) quality who knows what to teach, then u pay. In any case, just make sure he knows CPR and qualified Lifeguard

totally agreed, i paid for rm80 per lesson for an ex-state swimmer to just correct my swimming strokes (free style & frog style plus teach me flipping only) for me, know how to swim and swim correctly i think is totally two different thing - my 2cents

if u think the fee is expensive,

u may want to join with your friends in public pool. and have some fun.
after you are alright with the water, then only request for instructor.
that would be faster.

i never know swimming until myself got into water and Wala~~
now know how to swim but swimming stroke maybe incorrect lol
