Previously I contact to call center to request for terminate the card.

However in order to ensure it is really legit that my CC has been successful cancel, how to confirm the AMbank cc has been successful cancel?

I have tried to call several time to the call center, but ridiculous their waiting call is damn long (Their call center is not the toll free 1800) ranting.gif
Besides, I tried to Live Chat but end up they unable to check for CC account information. sweat.gif
Since cc account information unable to check, I just thinking that what is the purposes at the first place they implement the Live Chat? confused.gif

I got try to insert my CC at ATM machine or Cash Deposit machine, to check whether the CC still can running or not.
Out of my expectation, my CC still can working and can access to the Main Menu (via ATM machine to check balance, withdraw cash and so on).
Based on the situation, can I say my CC still haven't cancel yet?

Need your guy to advice. icon_question.gif

To be 100% sure that it has been cancelled, check your CCRIS
*

nope, it will be reflected on the next month. I forget what is the specific date every month
*
Ok, thanks for your advice. Then at least better my ccris score will better on next month. Lol.

Btw, take almost 3 days already gt response from AmBank via email that my card been "blocked". Means that my card successful cancel?

Just wondering if the card has been blocked, then my card should be unable to read during insert my card to ATM machine. Am I right?

Kinda confused their "wording".

blocked is not equal to cancel, ie you can still request for unblock
*
Meaning that block is still count in CCRIS?
No plan to unblock because not much benefit for me using the General CC.

Ah I never requested for letter... But the account already pull out from my statement. Can I consider that It's already done?
*
You cannot say so it is already done.
Some of the bank just help you to "block" your card only, meaning that you can "unblock" your card if wish to continue back to use.
This will still count in CCRIS there.

So better to request for letter or email (anything with black n white). Cannot trust too much for the people unless they screenshot to the system with permanent cancellation.

Else, talk shiok sendiri and everybody can say already cancel.

yup.. CIMB very efficient. at first they try to retain me via offer RM voucher. i insist no.. so they cancelled immediately. good CS and strategy, who know i will apply with them again.
*
Need to ensure it is really permanent cancel one. Else, they just "block" only. The block function is good if let say you want to reactive again your cc in the future.
But "block" function will still kira in your CCRIS listed. (If I'm not wrong).

Yes it could still reflect in CCRIS if it is BLOCK state.

The way I confirm it has been cancelled is generate CCRIS the next month. And it's gone. rclxms.gif
*
Meaning that if the card has been blocked, then the CCRIS listed with state "BLOCK" this word?
I prefer disappear the particular card from CCRIS listed. laugh.gif

How the way generate CCRIS? Heard from my friend it's not FOC to generate CCRIS, right?

I don't think there is field to state the card status. It will stay there with your repayment records.
For instance, when there is no outstanding at all, it will state 0.00 and for the past 12 month repayment will be 0.

To generate there are a few ways. Head over to BNM to print out FOC. You can also email them but they require to fill in some forms and to provide your identification card as well and also FOC.

The fastest way around is to use 3rd party to generate your CCRIS such as mycreditinfo etc. but there is fee to generate it. Less than RM20 if I recall.
Didn't know about AKPK branch. TQ notworthy.gif

Thanks for your advice. I have tried before CCRIS, but who know there is a charges for that.
End up I reject for it, it's not cheap at all just generate report cost RM26.50 (some-more need add on GST) shakehead.gif

I will tried for CCRIS the next time once I'm free. notworthy.gif

Just heard some news. There is now eCCRIS available but you will need to head to BNM office or branch to register youself.
*
Wow, it is almost like KWSP can walk in and print out the statement.
But too bad BNM office not all available in all the state. blush.gif

Hi guys, need some advices here...

I had cancel 2 PBB credit card which i didn't apply. Few days later received 2 mail from PBB credit card centre notice me the cards had cancelled and ask me to return the cards duly cut into halves for theirs retention.

Do i really need to return the cancelled cards? What if i had cut & trash it away already? What will happen if i not return the cards?
*
Who is the person who going to bare the postage cost of return the card with cut into halves?
And is it return the cards to PBB credit card centre?

The notice letter didn't mention what or how... It just show " we are appreciated if you could return the card(s) duly in halves..."
Anyway, since nobody encounter this kind of issue so i have to call the PBB credit card centre with "ten million of unwilling" dry.gif
They told me that the cards already cancelled and no need to return it. smile.gif
After ended the call, i regret i didn't ask them why the letter mention the return cards since they say no needed? hmm.gif
*
Because you already explained with "ten million of unwilling" to return the card, so they nothing to comment and mention not need to return.
But what I know, unnecessary need to return cards. Some of people like to collect those termination cc as souvenir. thumbup.gif
