- Go to Device Manager, Disable AMD HD Audio Device - Restart PC - Check Onboard Audio Disable in BIOS - Exit BIOS - Check, AMD HD Audio Device totally disable - Disable all AVIRA Protection - Run STX II Software, set to PCM 44.1 Khz, stutter sound appears consistently. - Run dpclat, mostly in green bar latency around more 100 us but less than 200 us. But one a while a red bar appears most highly in 11000 us, but what can i see mostly green bar.
Eh that spike aint normal. Also norm is 50-100us. But guess depends on windows etc.
I know this is odd but i had this issue once on my zx. Found out was my cpu was not seating correctly or i overtightened the cpu. Odd that gpu didnt pickup on this but my zx did on pcie.
hi guys, wanna ask if asus new mobo still having a long pre POST start up time like my old P7p55D E pro?
note:pre POST as in from power on till the screen turns to POST screen (not POST time) interested with ASUS H97-PRO GAMER but the pre POST start up time is annoying from my current ASUS Mobo
Do a 1. Uefi install of windows 2. Disable csm in bios 3. Mch full check disable, additional ram timing disable, enable mch fast boot, enable hardware prefetch, enable fast boot in bios n windows..
The issue with modern hardware n multiple connectivity on no uefi os install is it has to init each hardware. Do this they init everything the sametime.

ya but hope that time x570 price drop a bit now dunno go where find 2nd hand item
Topic like dat already no need to talk about asus malaysia. Cause we all how asus “In search of incredible”.. the search over already. Answer is incredible screw asians by asians.
Let me tell you a story
Strix z490-e.. was usd 299. No significant movement in usd to myr since middlr of march. Hero usd 399.. Diff pricing usd 100.. arnd RM43x add gst.. RM461. Rejoice.. preorder price with free mouse somemore rm1410 and hero rm198x. Not bad right. Close to usd rsp.. plus gst..Rsp prices even forwarded to all retailers.. Strix-e spec so good.. compare previous maximus xi formula (z390). Superb board even for 10900k.
Then a day before raya.. Asus product manager i assume( maybe fella got stuck in some cave somewhere during lockdown and baru keluar) was like wait. Aku lupa wei.. we forgot the core essense. Malaysian=asians. They not american. We forgot to screw them. He look at the pricelist. Saw where he can tikam/bang Bang strix-e rm18xx (rm4xx increase) Bang hero only rm100 increase (so kindda stupid Atm u buy strix right) Bang formula around rm100 increase Bang Extreme arnd rm900 increase. 4.3k!!!!
U be thinking now. Wtf. Asus malaysia. The pricing so funny we can drive down to sg. Buy extreme cheaper (the whole other lineup more expensive than my)
So how much u think strix-e b550 rsp Usd279 gonna be.. rm1.3k or 2k?? (Cause ryzen gen 3 be hot product.. and this board again very well speced)
Inilah how to search to be incredible. All asian country except taiwan. Go check asus china price. Before you do make sure you are physically ok. Good heart condition etc.
also in my story if u no good in math if u got casing like evolv
u can buy 10900k+hero+10400+gagay auros ultra itx= 10900k+m12 extreme

Asus ROG Strix Z490-E Gaming, u make no sense. Amazon list price (after RM4.3 conversion) RM1222, if add shipping and import tax RM1518, but in Malaysia u sell average price RM1800.
Ur pricing logic = no logic.
the mobos i recommend for z490
high end asus formula/hero msi ace
mid end giga master (with heavy heart i got to say dis) msi unify
lowest msi gaming plus
strix been nerfed in bios lvl. so the cpu stability, ram etc all cannot be compared to maximus
if u get a 10900k for cpu.. definately get asus
its so sick. i am just running intel fail safe.( so 125watts) bumped cpu ratios to 5.3 ghz 2core 5.2 ghz - 5core 5.1ghz -10 core max temp in ai set 70 radiator fan speed 400-600rpm
gaming its perfect 5.1.. temps are low and only uses 60-80watts.
for prime stable asus has another way ai oc.
key is with 10900k because of binning. the worst 10900k needs arnd 5.1ghz @1.3v and the best is arnd 1.2v
I rarely dwell in this thread. We are paying brand tax. Like Apple, Intel, Samsung and Sony. Can't stop fanboys and rich people from buy it. Just buy other brand if the price is too much.
If only it was true. They jacked up the price. Read what i wrote few months ago.
It was the decision of MY asus product manager. Nothing to do with asus. And its only on few products on z490. Funny the hero/formula is the best priced vs usd mrsp.
They jacked up the prices long time ago. If you see prices of graphic cards, you can get one tier higher for some of the other brands.
yeah.. 2080ti strix 7k wei.
msi/giga no changes even new products.
so the usd lar or whatever is nonsense.
example m12e initially was suppose to be sold @3.4k.. they suddenly during raya the raised to 4.3k here da kicker. resellers can still sell 3.4k with profit. so how??

I did contact Asus's customer service, what they did is just pull up some info from Asus website and tell me to "walk in" one of the service center. The problem is, there is no contact number or email in there. Google search returns nothing, I am not even sure if they still exist.
I don't really live near the service centers, how am I supposed to walk in?
I agree with you that service center don't have proper tools for this. So I should just mail it to any of the service center and they will mail it back to the factory?
For one thing, the customer service seems useless to me. This is what they replied
Kindly be informed as per check with our relevant team, your device falls under "Customer Induced Damage" as the screw already crumbles inside the plastic. If the service center is far from your location, you may refer directly with your resellers for further assistance. If you purchase it online, kindly walk-in to the service center and let them check further to see whether they are able to help you remove the screw.
When I ask the reseller, they tell me to ask Asus. When ask Asus, they tell me to go to service center, with no contact given, just walk in. They wont even bother to ask where I live before ask me to "walk in". They kind of hope that keeping telling me to walk in will make me feel useless and I will eventually give up on them.
then just ask the reseller to handle it for you. its what they are suppose to do.
second option is email/call taiwan. get a rma number. mail it in.
I did ask the reseller, they tell me to ask Asus. What the reseller will do is ask Asus anyway, and Asus will give them the same answer as what they give me. Asus Malaysia doesn't have any facility to solve this small problem? They just keep asking me to bring to service center.
Who did u buy from? Sounds like etailer. This not small. Its considered board damage. It will be send back to taiwan. Asus malaysia is a third party. They are not from asus taiwan (only msi is in jaya33.. they have a fae locally). Max the local service here might do is pin replacement for common boards. But doubt asus does. Cause third party. So all send back to taiwan. In taiwan theres a global que system. They will either fix your board later.. give you a refurbish one.. or replace the board . All depends on cost vs stock etc. So you might end up either 3.. normally refurbished.
So you have three choice 1. Rma directly to taiwan. (Registered right via asus member ship online).. 2. Rma via malaysia third party. So your issue is again sending it to taiwan. If it was from a physical shop. Those resellers can send it for you. If not walk in to asus centers. 3. Rma via etailer. Afaik some online platform has this option. So ship it to the etailer.
The path for rma is clear. Its the same for any manufacturer around the world. Unless it has a service option like from dell for onsite service.
Only shop like idealtech has a pickup service via gdex.
Etailers sells cheap cause because users are expected to settle themself.
i would fix yours myself. have u tried epoxy with disposable screwdriver. harden overnight..

I bought online. The retailer tell me to contact Asus myself. I did tried to fix it myself, I tried with superglue with another screw on it, it doesn't even stick. Is epoxy a lot stronger than superglue?
I tried rubber band, and even tried to saw the screw, the problem is the bracket is getting in the way, there is no clear path.
They will consider this as CID, would they still replace one for me?
The thing here is, everyone is pushing the problem around, one tell me to go to other place, and other place tell me to go other place. Asus ask me to go to their service center, the so-called "service center" is actually just computer shops, why would they risk doing this for me? Make no sense. There is no contact info in the Asus website for those service centers, just physical address.
Asus customer service keep telling me to walk in. They narrow down the service centers to four that has "motherboard" tag on it. Two is in KL and, another 2 in East Malaysia. How absurd it is to tell people to just walk in, considering that there is no guarantee that they will even do the job? Moreover I don't live near KL.
The more I tried to fix it, the more I worried that I might damage the board.
Why do you say that it is board damage, just the screw is damaged. I don't even need them to replace the screw, I just want the screw out so that I can use the board.
yeah thats the problem when u buy from a etailer operating from his room at mama/daddy home. zero cost. hence cheap. he can rma for u but wont. they can reverse send back to asus foc.
its already considered board damage. the issue too small. epoxy stronger. it will harden with the screwdriver.
as for taiwan they will replace with u. the thing is.. it either be your board repaired, some other board that was fixed for something else hence refurbished or brand new. chances are it will be refurbished. thats how the global que system work.. thats y suggest you to fix it yourself since super minor.
if u got some power tool can use screw extractor kit.

If retailers don't want to do anything, I can understand. What I cannot understand is Asus customer service replied me
" We have double confirmed regarding the matter, our service team cannot assists to open the screw as it already crumbles inside the plastic. My apologies for the inconvenience caused to you."
They just wont do anything, if they cannot fix it, then send it to Taiwan, as you suggest. All they do is just keep saying no to the customer and hope that the customer will just give up.
Imagine this, Asus wont fix Asus product, then who will?
Can etailer themselves deal with Asus Taiwan directly? Or they must go through Asus Malaysia?
I they must go through Asus Malaysia, then I think Asus Malaysia will give them the same answer as they gave me. That's why I rather ask Asus Malaysia myself than asking the etailer.
if asus supplied them.. they have frequent contact. they will just send to asus my. asus center will see the issue. if repair cost needed. they will tell the reseller who will tell u. price at this point maybe..then u ok it.. it goes to taiwan.
at taiwan imagine this u be on a que system globally for dat asus mobo.
and boards for various places are being repaired etc. so as they are fixed.. refurbish they are allocated based on that que
they have a sop on turnaround. some ppl get refurbished. some ppl get new boards. (cause some boards cost of fixing was more expensive.. da time it takes etc).. so who knows what u get.
then its shipped back to MY. asus my sends to etailer. retailer contacts you.
y etailer dont want. he sold cheap cause he didnt stock this and basically free dough.. u paid him.. he ordered. he shipped. etailers in shopee etc has sales rebate also. so now doing this will cost his time and abit of shipping money dealing with you. it doesnt effect his rating. so NO F given.
so dats y only buy from etailer if you dont mind rma yourself etc.
this aint asus fault. its etailer and the platform like lazada etc. amazon platform helps etailer tackle this issue with shipping etc.
