I just done my 2nd jab. My family doctor informed me that there are two types available in our market, one from Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK), another one from Merck (MDSB) Gardasil. GSK is RM199 per jab while MDSB costs RM270 per jab. I took the Merck Gardasil one but I could not recall the reason why I choose that over the GSK one, could be because I think the higher costs one should be better hehe
Actually, you need to take total 3 jabs, the 2nd jab must be two months after you done first jab and the 3rd and final jab must be six months after the first jab. I did not encounter any side effects after the jabs so far.
But each time I went for the jab, my hand will be sore for one day at most and it is quite painful
I suggest you to seek advise from your family doctor to see if you are suitable to take the jab as age plays an important factor to consider this jab. Besides age, your current health condition like whether you are pregnant or having fever might affect the result too.
I have no idea on gov or local clinic, but you may call up to ask how much it costs.
