@phantomash - I had that idea awhile back where CM 7 enable you to go access like settings of the shortcut like WiFI on it will go to settings but should be functioning as you mentioned, yeah it's a very useful thing for me from MIUI

md5 is to check if ur RUU download checksum same as mine, meaning identical files.

If different means we got different RUU's

It's like your ROMS they give md5 right? Sometimes maybe download break 99.9% u dunno u try flash then error pulak. Usually md5 checksum can check for that reason. This is general and applies to any file

Another worthwhile to note: If you setCPU different clocks like for screen off 245-245Mhz then the scaling may be off, so if you see 100% if screen off then it's okay (but beware it may take some time to reach lock screen if your ROM is laggy [ It happened a few times on one of the ROMs I ditched, forgot which 1 liao] I used the SetCPU from our thread front page but screen off 245/245 is quite bad if don't know how to manage your apps properly. Especially if you are running something CPU intensive and suddenly screen off = GG 10seconds delay to display Lock screen.

I find Usage Timeline Pro very accurate in it's readings. And you can also predict when your phone will lag too. Not poisoning you to buy this app but I bought it because it's good.

MIUI has been very impressive during idle for Home UI without widgets as well.

It is the only ROM I have tested that the CPU doesn't spike. Constant 3-4% = Wow

Other roms have an itchy butt to spike extra 5-10% out of the blue.

CM is also very low. Idk lah but if I want to really do a full study on all the famous roms I don't agree to making EXT 4 partition for DHD roms xd

Only problem is the lockscreen sometimes does as you can see from the graph in the notification I show you. Battery effect, got la, -30% but I haven't set up my power saving schemes yet (or, haven't applied) so cannot comment much but currently leave overnight lose extra 5-10% battery compared to usual power save. I don't over do it though [being stingy with the juice] but yeah.

Oh and if you don't use this app, the lag isn't noticeable at all unless you are very quick at unlocking ur phone, like press trackpad then straight slide ~ 1 sec or so then u will notice the lag if u wait > 1 sec then no lag.

I set to 422 when not doing anything and 600~ ish if I have things I need to run in the background.

And yep I think 422 was powersave and 600 was performance for me.

Just try download the Shipped RUU and run that. If it stills run in chinese, is your PC in chinese?

it's alright. Very plain, but quite okay. Prefer CM7 for more flexibility in settings. They aren't so bad I suppose. Feels the same as CM7 but without some of the settings. Gingervillain tried once then switched back CM7. It's ok ok I guess. CM7 best!

AP ar... sorry la bro, I really never try AP companies They probably simply check if got root or not through system like SIS..Or maybe they don't care. AP U need to ask them themselves, like can root or not.

AP is probably very difficult because it comes from all over so I'm very sure they don't even know where it comes from unless they are very strict (Might as well go work in SIS)

So you need to find a way to update software. I'm not sure what's the impact if you don't do the update, but I suggest you use 3G or some unconventional method/scheme to update. IDK if HTC Support site got the download.

Yeah kenot dl from HTC site, must use from phone. FOTA updates. (Firmware Over The Air)

Sometimes themes for the wrong ROM can cause bootloop/stuck at splash.
