yups... i'm one of the extra 50 people...

anyway, no need to actually queue for payment. they gave me a badge with number and told me i can come back anytime before 9pm that day to pay and collect my unit. wondered around for 1-2 hours and then went to collect. that time, hardly anyone left in the queue.

bought the promo package of microSD, cleaner and hdmi cable... but kinda regret it now... oh well... nvm.

i paid full for the docking station. now waiting to arrive. paid full so can claim all from income tax. if split into 2 payments, i worry hard to explain to tax officers why i summit docking station as part of claims.

screen, etc all ok but now one corner got chipped off paint. *sigh*

i wish they would just rubberise the edges...

i bought the full set... along with another promo package they were having at MV -- hdmi cable, screen cleaner + microSD card.

now i'm just wondering how useful are the extra stuffs... keyboard. not sure i will actually need or use it often. probably i will just consider it as an extra set of battery.

microSD. originally was planning to load my 1080 movies into the card and try watching it from Transformer. but most of my movie files are bigger than 8GB (the size of the card). then found one that's 4GB and when I copied, can't... card is in FAT32 format.

i din try it out yet... can I format the card to NTFS, copy the movie file and then try it out on the Transformer -- as in, can the Transformer read NTFS format? well, will check back later and see got reply. i'd probably be googling this anyway...

also, the guy mentioned of p35 of the manual. what manual?!? i only got like a 10page booklet that explains the hardware buttons, etc... Grrrrrr....

i was planning to arrive there at 12 and take up any unclaimed units from 150. but things happened and i only reached there like 1+pm. saw long queue and i thought, no chance...

but still go and ask... was surprised the person said still got slots. i just grab the number first since they said i can come back later. i can still consider my purchase... after walk a bit and think a bit... but the full set.

the market error... i think its mentioned on the other Transformer topic... could be a firmware/ configuration issue and should be fixed soon. seems the local market not recognising Malaysia+Transformer.

funny thing though is I could download FB apps and also Angry Birds Rio. well, good enough for me for now.

din try videos yet but keyboard typing was kinda slow... seems Honeycomb 3.1 will fix this, along with the video lag. that's what i read in other forums based in US where the 3.1 is already leaked out.

below half, can't really hear anything. will go back and try again tonight...

Added on May 30, 2011, 10:01 amfor me, quite impressed and happy with my transformer (the tablet) purchase -- but i might just regret my purchase of the docking station, etc... well, will know when i get it.

this is my 1st android device. so, i dun mind the market issue coz it means i got time to do more exploring first. plus, got AB Rio to keep me busy a bit. but this is meant for my son and the apps i downloaded (flash cards, etc), they all work. so i'm happy...

the 3.1 should also fix they keyboard typing speed. ya, if anything that's not so impressive... i was a bit shocked that the keyboard was kinda slow. just happy that its a SW issue than can and will be fixed.

* any website that provides tips & tricks for Transformer (copy all, screenshot, etc -- screenshot already shared by some1 but just using it as example)
* disable keyboard from popping up
* move cursor up/down/right/left when typing...

oh ya... one other negative pt abt this is... the charging cable is soooooOOOooo short.

it was partly what caused it to slip off my hands... was moving it from the floor and forgot about the short cable, so it slipped off my hands.

i hope there's another set of charger and cable that will be included with the docking set... this cable is too short. some desks might not have a power supply that close...

Added on May 30, 2011, 10:34 amif this is the only method... *sigh* not so useful for me. sometimes i point, it does not appear where i want... usually the case when two words are joined without space... wanna put it between the two words and then hit space bar.

the thing is... sometimes cannot get it right. maybe fingers are too fat. so wanna move left/right by 1-2 characters... can't seem to do it. end up, just backspace to delete the chars and re-type.

speaking of delete... is there a faster way to delete who word or sentence? i currently do 1char at a time with the delete/ backspace. hold it does not seem to delete the word/ sentence... or did i do something wrong?

i doubt the OP is talking abt this but since others replied about the market access problem, i also contributed a bit... hopefully got more noise and can get Google's attention. check out:

i can wait for the fix. no hurry for me... the apps i need to fill up my time is all available. plus, i think the fix should be easy and i expect it done in the next few days (max).

as for video lag... well, feedback from those in US who used the leaked 3.1 says its fixed. so... i think no issue. plus, again, i'm still spending my time exploring the device... have not even come to movie watching yet. so, ok la...

btw, what apps to download to watch movies (mkv)? i dun plan to root my device.

i'm lucky i can get AB Rio to install on mine. not rooted and got it from MV last Sat. no mods, nothing. so, i'm not complaining too loudly.

i think tablet prices will start to drop soon... along with smartphones. but of coz it probably won't apply to i-thingy.

just sharing on battery during standby.

last night when i put the transformer on standby (press power button), it had abt 20%. 20hrs later, turn on... battery was at about 10%.

so, using this... can roughly last 9-10 days on standby.

but just wondering... should we press and hold power button to turn it off if we're not using i for like 24hrs? i usually leave the tablet at home. dun carry it to office.

oh, ok. will shut it down then instead of putting it to standby.

btw, it takes almost 2 hrs to charge back to 100% from about 7%. more like 1 - 1hr 45mins. just sharing, in case anyone is curious.

i charge from 7% coz i wanna use it. cable too short so can't use while charging. and i worry by the time finish charging, too late for me to use (need my precious sleep).

we really, really need a mod to help merge the two Transformer topics. getting confusing...

i have to ask... is there a way to 'select all' or select a few (in windows, just hold CTRL button and select)... coz right now, when i wanna copy files from one folder to another, have to do one by one. a bit jialat...

also, sorry but since this tablet is also used by wife and myself, is there a way to have different accounts setup (showing diff contacts and diff calendars)? or are tablets supposed to be 1 device, 1 user -- just like phones?

can i assume you rooted your tablet to install samurai vengence, etc?

i know i dun have yet... coz turned off my transformer last nite. i am not in a rush. probably go home and turn on and force check for update tonight.

could be possible that it will be available only in morning at UK...? if, so, then we'll probably get it only later this evening...

sorry... my statement is based on present problem -- most games cannot be installed -- getting country error. so i know some resorted to unofficial way of installing and playing games.
